Beginning to think I have that Plantar Fasc problem with my heels:o

They've been bothering me for a while after walking too much in flat shoes I think. I walk quite a bit at work but while I've been off, I've been getting lots of steps in. I've averaged about 14k per day but hit 18k while in FrAnce. We have a stone floor in the house too and I need to stop walking barefoot:o

I'm not a slipper person but found some really comfy ones in Marksies yesterday using my 20% off I got them for £10:T
I tried the blue ones on which fit lovely but decided on the grey and bought them.

I've just tried them on and they don't fit. They have to be wrongly sized:o I really can't face another trip today:o. Hey ho.
anyway anyone with heel trouble want to throw some advice my way?

try wearing slippers, or shoes with a bit of a heel when you can. Flat shoes stretch the plantar fascia to its full length and it tugs where it inserts into your heel bone. Shoes with a bit of a heel make it less taught.

TM....check out the exercises for Plantar Fasciitis on the internet....I used to suffer from it due to a lot of walking and used the stretching on the stairs exercise and the tennis ball whilst sitting exercise, and have not suffered since.

    TM

DH has problems just now but I doubt he has it diagnosed properly

A running pal suggested a vitamin supplement but podiatrist suggested 3/4 insoles just enough to raise the heel when he is running

Pm if you want more info
  • Good morning all, beautiful day here.

Then there's the towels. I asked mr TM to stick them in the washer last night. He put all the ones that had just been washed, dried and aired back in the washer.:o :rotfl: Honestly. The dirty ones are still waiting for some TLC:rotfl:

    So my Sunday begins:)

And you know the old saying ....a Sunday well spent makes a week of content:D

Meal planning, meal prepping, ironing.........making going back to work tomorrow a tad easier:D

I suffered for a while. I live in trainers (unless I have to dress up) and I now make sure I get them with decent insteps in, I like sketchers if I am going to be in them for a long time, but I don't wear any with the hard insoles and I tend to put gel insoles into any that seem to be just shy of having enough support.

I can sympathise......my record is 9lbs on after a 14 day cruise

My worst is 8 pounds on a 12 day one but by day 3 after we had come back - after the excess alchol had left the system it was 5 pounds.
It will still take me 5 months to shift ...
