SweetnSavy, did any of those wines work against the other supermarkets?
  • Trying not to be a spoilsport. Be careful of money laudering laws, banks/credit card companies etc are obliged to report "unusual" activity to the authorities. So make sure everything is very transparent "if" they investigate it.

I believe "The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002" can allow law enforcement to seize assets before any proof if criminality is made, in effect make the onus on the person to prove the assets are theirs lawfully.
Don't quote me, just my interpretation and if large amounts keep going in and out of accounts, questions may be raised.
If it is just rinse and repeat I cannot thinmk there would be a problem, but it might still be looked into.

    Ahh, didnt realise that, thanks.
Going to open Tesco card today and hopefully... test out the PB.

Shame there's no offers on at the moment for cashback or bonus CC points when opening :(
 Excellent, I would have tried, but by time I opened an account I would have missed next months draw, and would have had to W/D some PB in order to buy some.

The only thing I would conceed is that if done on a very regular basis it may prompt NS&I to query with the customer the purpose, but that's all.

Due to the timeframes involved in buying/selling and the wait times involved before purchased PBs become active for draws it would probably not be a sensible option to continually do it unless the only aim was to accrue points.

That would be the only point of doing it, but it would give you a massive equivalent rate of interest as opposed to PB or most stocks/shares/bank accounts.
