What are the negatives about being a taurean then and I ll see if I agree lol
Ditto here, I possibly am even more of a control freek now than I ever was. Ideally I like to spend every penny at least twice

I finally got one of these mythical co-op MOCs the other day - 50p for breakfast cereal - not sure what I can get in the cereal section for not much more than 50p
Bagged oats, possibly?
You could always try it on a couple of individual breakfast bars if yours sell them loose, but they are quite generous in their interpretation at the till. Just experiment. Try a loaf of bread.
The Co ops are generally more enlightened than some places, I was commenting on how cheap some reductions were and the SA said 'Oh you've seen nothing yet, we have stuff goes through at 4p.' So I asked her what they did then, and she said 'We just sell it at the price the till says.'
So if you get lucky in the madhouse of post-Xmas pricing, just go back for more. I had a 4p box of Terrys All Gold once, and made a quick exit, I'd have got more if I'd realised it was OK.

This morning we went to Lakeland - ours is at Bridgemere garden center - google it - very Christmassy and it has numerous outlets on the one site. I think the Christmas event is on November 30th early evening - free glass of fizz, prize draw and I think there was some food sampling the last time we went, local butchers nice sausage rolls.
Anyway I had a look in Lakeland at the blanket fleeces for £20 - the cream one is slightly beigh rather than cream colour but quite good quality , heavy weight, good size, also in brown and grey.
So I the cream one for the end of the bed - the one there now is about 30 years old, stained and disgusting but Oh is emotionally attached to it, no idea why. I really want to put it in cloth recycling.
For Christmas the new one will be on the bed - visitors traipsing too and from the shower room dont need to see the disgusting old one.
I did message both Eldest child and Eldest son with photos but neither needed a fleece for sofa or the end of the bed. Inevitably they will both be coverting our new cream one at Christmas - that will be their loss

Evening all - totally fowl day, we have had sleet, rain and hail storms
OH has gone to do this wedding photography job tonight, no idea when he will be back. He is not drinking because he is driving but I dont know if he will be enjoying the inevitable buffet.
I have been conned into going on these work do -s before, dreadful things where everyone talks shop endlessly ...very glad I dont have to go with him.
In the meantime I am going to enjoy having a totally quiet house, all cats fed and sleeping, no one whining, OH has left me a gin and tonic, I have wrapped some Christmas gifts and now I am going to have a catch up.
Foul even lol
been horrible here too especially this morning

We have got a shiny new Co op close to us so I am going to have a play on self scans - porridge oats would be very useful
Even our co-ops are mean with their yellow label reductions, same with every supermarket around here, my groucery bill would give most Elite heart failure - apart from the very occassional coupon or cadhback items and odd things for Waitrose Pyo“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
