Good morning all, cloudy but mild here.

Spent yesterday afternoon/evening round a friends with quite a group, outside all the time, it was very nice too. Problem is we came home with some cake and some baklava

So sorry to hear this, it is still a shock even when expected, but it is nice for anyone in that position to manage to be at home at the end, FiL was and it made such a difference for him.

Just heard a really interesting news item on people in hospital spending too much time in bed. There's a big campaign starting to get people up and dressed which psychologically is better for them and get them moving around. And for those who can, sitting at a table to eat which is more sociable and better for you than lying in bed.
If you are poorly I know this isn't possible but I can certainly see the benefits for those who can.

There is a huge amount of muscle loss from just lying in bed, so when it comes to getting moving again it can be more difficult than it needs to be. I've made a promise to my future self, that if i'm ever in that position, then i'm going to make a huge effort to get up and moving asap no matter how !!!! how feel.

Don't be sorry Westfie - you saved me the time I would have spent searching for it. Got so much to do today. There's wine, hair stuff to be bought, dinner to cook and maybe a whoopsie run to Ts.
