Hi Enterprise, do you get to eat any of your grapes as my sweet ones are all eaten by the birds. The sour ones which I dont want to eat are mostly left alone. I have had the sweet vine for about 6 minutes and years and have no idea what they actually taste like.

    Edit.
Where did the 6 minutes come from? ipad playing tricks!.

Last year was the first year with these, and we got them all. This year we will be sharing them with the birds, Castor and Pollux, they rather like grapes, but I think they would rather have strawberries. Today in their fresh bowl they had peppers, lettuce, carrot, raspberries, blackberries and banana. I swear they eat better than us :rotfl::rotfl:

Check your nectar account. 10 bonus points per shop on both of our cards for the whole of August. You need to load to your card. I also have 500 points on my next shop on mine.

Thank you, we have the 10 points per shop too. Might be useful when OH gets fuel, but not sure if I will actually shop there this month.

Thank you, Elaine, for the Nectar info. I have this too and also 1000 bonus points with Virgin trains. I've got a system going with that one now and put a screen shot with the booking for when I need to chase them up. :) I need to book a train for work for September so this is well timed.

Why are L0tto running adverts with "Who Wins If You Win"?

It is none of their business! But I have wondered, if you won and gave someone some of your winnings, would they lose a proportion in tax? If yes, is there an Elite way around it? The things I worry about when this is a hypothetical situation ... :D.

You mean you haven't already done your Christmas shopping in the January sales. That might be an offence that needs your Elite badge to be relinquished. :p

Did you manage to go to m&s sale? I got £1500 worth of clothing for £150 ish so chuffed also managed to get dome online too early morning.

    Wow, you did well. :T
I managed to get there for 10.30 ish.
Lots of people with trolleys full by then.
I only got about 8 things for me, I phoned my sister to see if she would join me but I don't think she likes to be seen rummaging on sale rails. :rotfl: She's already phoned to see if I got her anything though.....

The local lady who owns a shop was there again, she buys most of it, think she must have inside information.

I know if you have gifted money there can be implications if you die within I think it's seven years.

Have a feeling there might be some sort of capital gains tax. I remember reading when I did probate when my mum passed away there were amounts that could be excluded for birthdays etc. But not sure if this only had implications after death or not.
