Some solicitors will offer a free half hour consultation to give advice before proceeding - possibly both brothers could make an appointment, take along all of their questions and see what can be done as they might both need lasting powers - they might need help with everyday stuff like paying bills etc
Think there is more chance of hell freezing over:( The brother does pay all bills etc now, no mail goes to the house for bills it gets redirected to him.
The brother is a solicitor anyway

Thanks, but not sure how this would work for paying all the bills etc?

Just been on the Amex page and onto live chat to forewarn them about 2 big payments going through which might look very suspicious as they would be out of character in their massiveness - the car insurance payment this week and a holiday payment settlement in August. Enricho has put notes on my account so I can stop fretting now.

Errant son had his nationwide card blocked overnight for flight payments - even though he has booked flights before so its not exactly that out of character ...

Does anyone have any knowledge about PCN parking fines here please?
I've tried posting in that section, but am stuck and they're not much help.

Basically, my car went to pick up food from Bella :o which it has not been to or parked in this area before. I was advised over the phone by the takeaway that there was a car park behind that is free after 6pm so my car went after 6 and collected.

I have looked online and it seems they have been rather sneaky. There seems to be another car park behind the one my car parked in, and according to their website this is the one free after 6pm.
So, my car being a newbie and not knowing the area assumed the car park immediately behind the Bella takeaway was the one free after 6.
I bet this has caught a lot of people out.

Anyway, I want to appeal online, but it's asking for a reason my car was there, but I don't want to choose anything on their list that will incriminate my car ;)

This is a link to my post with their list of reasons, if anyone has any suggestions please I'd be very grateful :)

What were the rules of the car park you did use? Did they put a ticket on the car or send through the post?

I received a 'PCN' through the post. I've been back to look at the signs and it says u have to pay all times. Just my car thinking it was the free after 6 one. The parking fine board here did say still put in an appeal, but I don't know what reason to give, and there isn't an 'other' option.

Argos testers requested, irons & toaster :)

Parcel farce tried to deliver my kettle on Saturday when we were out so instead they took it to the nearest post office - our post office is 5 minites away but this PO must be actually it must be the parcel farces nearest post office en route back to the depot -

So we did the 13 mile round trip to this post office  - OH was quite happy as its a little village which is easy to get to and you can park outside.

I have tried looking this kettle up and found prices between £39 and £64 and nobody anywhere has reviewed it so I have to write something suitable tomorrow which will go down in posterity :)
