Good morning beautiful people going to be 31 here today! Also my sweet peas have gone all yellow and no more flowers! Do you yhink its the weather or over watered?

Sounds like overwatering to me! It could be a few things though, too much fertilizer, water too cold, might take a while to find out which it is.

Just had a shock, they just announced on the radio it could be 35C here on Friday. It is due to get up to 32C today  This is getting beyond a joke, I pity the people that have gone on holiday to places that are supposed to be warmer than here :rotfl::rotfl:

    Good morning all

Been watching the news Its not a nice world, child injured in a targeted acid attack, gunman shooting in Toronto, recycling in dispute and new jobs in Glasgow but a lot are at the expense of other UK areas No wonder I normally give it a miss

TM looking forward to the pictures

    Good luck scamps

I need to make a start on paperwork that seems to be increasing weekly  It would be nice for the accountant to get DHs books more than a week before the January deadline

Today's task is sorting out a broken valve on my tyre. I only asked OH to check the pressures, not break the thing!

More Mc D vouchers on the back page of the Metro today. The normal set of £1.99 deals, expiring 16 September. :D

Morning all - still warm but its very clouded over.

A question regarding the £20 AP vouchers - remind me again where they can be used? Is it Bella Italia and Pizza Express?

OH has a medical in Brum tommrow so Ive invited myself along, to Brum that is not the medical. Ive got an hour to amuse myself whilst he does his thing. No idea what to do with myself yet.

THen I can take him to lunch - just wondering what discount vouchers to us - I seem to think Bella has a 40% off mains but what has PI got?
Can you still do the free garlic dough balls survey voucher thing for PI?
Can I use my NUS card - are there restrictions? If so do I show this as we are asking for the bill?
Can I use more than one AP voucher at a time - I am wondering about getting the little lemonade cans to take home to take the bill to £40 if I can use two £20 vouchers.

Thinking about it I think I am veering towards choosing PI - we took eldest child there once and its not too far from New Street.
Also I think Neros is close by as well

(and thinking that if we also go to Greggs to get baguettes etc for supper)

And yes OH will be back at work afterwards so no lunchtime drinkies :(

    Good morning

... you could read the voucher on your phone to get a quicker response ... :D.

It is Bella Italia, Las Iguanas, Cafe Rouge, Belgo, LacTasca, La Vina

Not Pizza Express - they were separate vouchers.

Remember you can use with other offers like £5 main or 40% off.

    Good morning all!

I popped in A's on Saturday to have a look for reduced items but I didn't really have any luck. I also couldn't find Happy Down or the cider in T's.

I had a great weekend anyway though. On Friday night I ran my town's 6 mile race and was 1st woman, then we spent all of Saturday at a BBQ at a friend's house. Yesterday I went down to the allotment and spent about 4 hours digging a tiny area over to plant some kale in. I'd been avoiding doing any digging recently because the ground is rock solid but we had a bit of rain on Friday night so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to get down there. It was still very tough, but I hate seeing bare patches on my plot! On the plus side everyone down the allotment (apart from me!) is overrun with courgettes and runner beans so I came away with a lot of those.

As for the AP, we didn't ever have too many as I didn't put that much effort into it, I just used my the app 'normally'. So we're down to our last £5 Gweggs and still have £22 on a PE voucher. I've got a Tastecard so we can stretch the PE over 2 nights. We're going to go tonight, and also try and use the free beer voucher from the National Pub Fortnight offer. :-)

Edited to say, the free beer won't be at PE, but a pub nearby.

yes, I know but the voucher is on OHs phone which is with him and its a new shiny phone which I cant even switch on even if I had it with me :o My thoughts are that if I have tomorrow all planned out then OH will have less time to object or find reasons for just going to neros and then heading straight back to work ...

This mornings crisis. Errant son booked flights last night using his credit card and Nationwide picked it up as a fraudulent activity so when he checked this morning he didn't have flights.

He has the home number as his contact number so I didn't pick up on the auto message until this morning - no one uses the home number anymore and we only get messages left a few times a year.

So now he has to ring them to say it was him using his card and then try to rebook the flights which have gone up £40 overnight

Are there any airfare and flight experts around - Errant son is using Airfare network website

    - is this a good one or is he better going via Qatar airways website and booking directly?????
