Mhoc, did you see the gin set i mentioned? Dont know if any good
Yes, I am going to have a look in Asda - might be a good top up presents
So far I've not spotted the fancy new Christmas gins in Aldi, maybe its too soon - I was hoping to get the pink version at least.
Eldest son and his GF might be bringing there own gin they have been infusing and bottling - looking forward to this.
So maybe this will be this Christmas theme - homemade and home spun“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

When I first stalked the elite, there was someone who posted that their family spent £1 per person on token gifts.
It was when 1p items were around and the leaf design trays.
She filled a tray with items but had to produce the receipts to prove that she hadn't gone over budget!:money::rotfl::A
Own up?!
Lol no that wasn't me !!!
However we used to do something similar with friends from work we would buy each other something no going over a pound. The idea being it would be !!!!. We had some great laughs. And some great finds along with the !!!!. That was before my elite days so £1 now can get you some good glitch stuff.MFW 2013 #146 Target £6000

The last two years - her divorce years - saw me giving more and more, partly because if I hadn't, she wouldn't have had much - it was bad enough him leaving without taking Santa as well. Also I had to get things on behalf of the children. And see to Mother's Day and her birthday from the kids as well as me.
But, this year, she has moved in with her new OH, life is rosy on all levels, and as I say there are now 4 kids for me to consider instead of two.
So it seems like now is a very sensible time to make the change.
It sounds like you've been very thoughtful and generous and of course it's absolutely brilliant. Now as you say times have changed.
I would stop the impulse buys set a budget for yourself and if you can't face cutting them down this year make a point of saying next year you will cut down. For us the timing was perfect cos we just looked at the presents and my parents said there was too much and we should set a budget.
