Chris, what if i got this and sweets?
Lynx Dry Anti-Perspirant Deodorant - Africa
    (150ml)
    Tesco £3.00
    £2.00 / 100ml
    ASDA
    £3.00 £1.75

Yes, £1.75 v £3 would reduce your apg by 95p then a few pennies on for the sweets :)
  • I have reviewed my Christmas gifting due to recent events, my DD is now in a blended family with 2 adults and 4 under-10s, so in effect the numbers have doubled for the long term, and including birthdays there will be an all-year effect now.

I have reluctantly decided that the only way forward for me on my current budget is to buy for children only until things improve.

Has anyone else ever had to be this restrictive, and was there any fall-out?

I don't either, and it was one of my last posts on the old thread, that I won't be buying them as gifts as I'd feel bad giving something which I don't value myself.

I had a few sets given to me when they were in those hexagonal tins a couple of years ago, I had a heck of a job getting the glue dots off which held the bottles in place and as you say, the contents aren't nice.

But for BH fans and raffles and so forth, they'd be good.

My sister gave me 2 items from a set her mil bought as well
These also had sticky strips that wouldn't come off, they were a right mess. I ended up throwing them out and I'll use anything normally.

My family is growing and there is only me so I seem to spend a fortune. What I've done say for a family say sister bil and neice nephew is to spend the majority of the budget on the kids but still get the parents a token present. Need not be much.

I feel compelled to buy some B&H but alas I don't particularly like it either. Suppose it will make a decent filler present
