Good morning.
I met the most remarkable lady yesterday. She knits hair for kids who have had chemo. How fab is that? She made 50 and took them to Alderhey and they told her that there were 4200 children in the UK that needed them so she has carried on crocheting them. She has set up a charity to raise money for the wool and she has other people helping her make them too. I don't know how to crochet but there's a knitting class in my town that does lessons so I'm going to learn.
If there's anyone on here who can crochet and is interested in helping pm me and I'll send you her details.
She met Jamie carragher last week as his charity 23 is helping her with her fund raising.
I am sending her the next signed man utd shirt we get although I did explain it could be 12 months until we get another one.
She was such an inspiring lady, she inspired me to book our next pub quiz when we met dd at the pub so for the locals its 21st October, pandoraskids I hope your daughter can make the next one I'll make sure FC gets her room booked again.0 -
Good Morning :hello:
Tweets you're going to be slipping down a grid at this rate!
Is it the stress of your mum that's causing you to lose more or are you trying to?
It is awful sorting out nursing homes I hated it when we did it for my dad and unfortunately my mum had the final say and in my opinion finance came before the care when she made her final decision which broke my heart because I didn't believe he was in the best place.
You stick with it and push for where you want her to go. I'm glad AJ is supporting you, please look after yourself x0 -

Morning all. Back from my hollibobs. Cant believe we managed with with no problems encountered. BA were brilliant with assistance here in London and KLIA airport in Malaysia. :T
So back to glitching to save up for next one :rotfl:
When I was out in Malaysia, I couldnt access my nectar acount. Just had a look and virgin points added :T Also a long chased after insurance one for 14000 points added :T But also, got a couple of double up points ones added. Transactions were done on 6th June and added 7th June but I wasnt in the country. Is there sometimes a delay in adding the points. Thinking I might have used a double up coupon a few months earlier and its just beed added. Nice surprise anyhow.
Lovely reunion with Tessa yesterday. Yes she remembers me haha
Went to bed at 6pm last night and slept for 12 hours. So hope thats sorted out the jet lag.
I didnt sleep on the plane but managed to watch a few films, including one called Breathe. Made me bawl my eyes out which was embarassing but think most of the passengers were asleep and luckily had my sunglasses to hand :rotfl:

chocaholics wrote: »Talking of this Okra today I was quite annoyed with the picker at Sada cos she substituted the 1kg bag for 2 x300g bags at the same price as the 1kg. I said the substitute has to be at least the equivalent so at least you could have added another 300g bag, but no, she said that is what head office have ordered as a substitute. I said I did not realise that head office were in the store picking my items. She was a bit miffed and said grugingly I will refund them and walked off. Not impressed! but at least I got £6plus back as well as my refund.
I'm sick of the attitude of some of the workers at my local Asda. I ve never met such a hostile bunch. Not all of course but the ones I tend to have to deal with lol. The latest was with someone on Customer service and I say that as loosely as possible lol .

Good Morning all
Funny you should say that as I asked at customer services on Saturday if they had any kids England t shirts and the lady snapped at me I don't know there's nobody on George today. I commented to dh as I walked away they could do with sending their staff to waitrose to see how they treat the customers.
Shocking behaviour. I cannot decide if a job in customer services attracts those kind of people or if the job turns them like that :rotfl: I don't suppose we will ever know the answer to that one.0 -
Presumably they were referring to people who pick up clothes from the sales floor and take them to the till for a refund by pretending they had brought it into the store with them
That's theft!
I bet the carrier bag charge hasn't helped stores, the amount of people you see coming out of shops holding clothing without purchasing a bag.
Morning peeps.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -
