Ooh, it's the England game today. The first of two editions of "Match of the Day Live". How can they have two Matches of the Day on the same day? Either the first of the two is the Match of the Day or the other one is but it is impossible for both to be the Match of the Day. Which one is it to be? And, if you are then selecting one of them to be the "Match of the Day", why are you selecting that one and not the other?:rotfl: (People will realise this line of question from myself, which reveals a wider thing: most people can intuitively decide that one option is the best on something and just pick it. However, I don't know and, when someone has decided to do one and not the other - and of course I saw all possible options and more and could not decide which to pick - I will then ask why that one (and not the other)? This is from Asperger's and I think there's probably something on it in Tony Attwood's main book IIRC - even though I don't recall the exact thing word for word:rotfl:. The reply to "why one, not the other?" is probably "because the option I picked was the best one". To which my answer is "but why?:p" ('why was that the "best one"?') And then I'll point out all the things that make the other one "the best" and contradict what they have picked. The truth is there was (and still is - it still remains!) no logic as to either option that was preferred.)
They are both styled "Match of the Day Live" - make your mind up, BBC, either one of them is the Match of the Day, thus by definition it makes the other not and the programme for that should therefore have a different name. It cannot be the Match of the Day as the other one is. I do not see how they can maintain two matches can each, or both, be the Match of the Day on the same day:rotfl:.
Actually, I think there's no contest is there? It's the England match, that is the Match of the Day, at least for those of us supporting England (which, in the UK, I would just tentatively think may be quite a lot:rotfl::rotfl:. Just a touch:rotfl:). The Japan Senegal match is not the Match of the Day, even though it is claimed also to be (which, to me, is impossible when another match has that title already that is on the same day).
It's "Match" of the Day - match singular! Not plural. It cannot apply to more than one match on this day.0 -
Good morning everyone. Kettle is on. Help yourself. :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:
Wow Savvy, you have been busy. Will take hours to catch up once I have my coffee.0 -
Here we are:
BBC One
12.10 Match of the Day
15.30 The other match
At least this list is more accurate!:rotfl:0 -

Took hours to write - I just kept writing (and couldn't stop:o:rotfl:) - so I will be off by now and kindly leave you with the hours of catch-up. Which you won't like at all and won't seem very kind:doh:!:rotfl::rotfl:
Not intended - I just wrote what I did.
See you, bye for now:wave:.0 -
Before I really go, just thought - there's a certain logic to me putting the match at 12.10 as the "Match of the Day" - did you notice it?
I awarded the first match that came on the day as the Match of the Day. Having done that, no subsequent match that then came on the same day could claim that title as it's already been taken by the first match for this day and therefore anything after that was called something else.0 -

I'm thinking of writing a novel: A wife asks her husband to build her a garden pond to remember him by. He starts, but it becomes an obsession which takes over his life. Eventually his wife regrets ever asking for it - until one Summer's evening, a unicorn comes to drink from the pond, and their lives change forever....Fighting Recurring Cancer0
