Having just watched The Truth about Carbs on iplayer catch up, it was probably a good thing I only bought one:rotfl:

How many sugar cubes in a jacket potato:eek:

I've only just bought 2 big bag fulls.

How on earth does Slimming World work for anyone?

Rice, pasta,potatoes....can't you eat as much of these as you like?

Slimming world teaches a method of weight loss, in this case they focus on restricting fat. Keto works by restricting carbohydrates. It doesn't teach you the principle of why it works which is energy balance. When you are faced with a restriction of an entire macro nutrient lots of people will naturally create an energy deficit and lose weight. But there are also those who won't. Whether it is be because of behavioural, environmental, psychological factors. For example some will just naturally eat a few more carbs to replace the fat they are missing out on. The idea of "free food" can also work against some people. On Keto they are told calories don't matter :eek: and eat as much fat as you want - works brilliantly for some yet others gain weight because of few too many bullet coffees...

Love this graphic from examine which looked at the Dietfits trial. A study which compared low fat high carb diets to high fat low carb to see if one was superior. No significance was found between the two approaches. But this graph shows the individuality.

The best "diet" is the one you can adhere to. For some people keto fits like a glove yet for others it is highly restrictive and not enjoyable. Some find that slimming world suits them better. It's all about what works for you.

I prefer having the freedom of knowing my numbers and eating what I want. It's not restrictive when I make up the rules :D:D:D

Good morning all, grey and cool here, looks like rain, really wish it would! It is supposed to be sunny again this afternoon though.

Had plans for today for OH "forgot" to tell me he wants my help!

Yes we is carb heavy but I don't eat rice/pasta/potatoes/bread as such if I have chips i only have about 8 but some people lose eating every meal.
Carbs are in alot of things though just not them.
If I wasn't diabetic I would have eaten them and sw just works if you follow it:T
Not red and green days anymore ts

I only have small amounts of beige carbs
