    Agreed!

I call BS on this I'm afraid...did anyone ever hear Yanny & Hardy but never thought to mentioned it!?
    :cool::eek:

Yes I was doing this yesterday - and didn't post about it as not money-saving-related but I'll mention it now.

I think they (some outlet on the internet) were claming that people heard Yanny or Laurel. Untrue again, it seems to me:p. Can I be the one person to fall down the middle and hear neither of the claimed two alternatives?

I certainly can. I don't hear either Yanny or Laurel - I suppose I am closer to Yanny but I do not hear that - I heard something like "yearry", which is complete nonsense as it isn't even a word. So, it's a nonsense sound that, to me, sounds like "yearry" or something like that - nowhere near either Yanny or Laurel.

Apparently...zzz:rotfl: ... people who have Asperger's see, hear and feel the world differently to everyone else. I wondered about this and I also went on to see (or rather maybe hear) whether my hearing had changed over the years. Apparently you hear Yanny if you hear high frequencies and Laurel if you hear low ones. There are high frequencies that, as you get older, you are supposed no longer to hear. However, according to the test of the sounds I hear via videos online, the 'mosquito' sound that teenagers or those under 20 are supposed to hear, I can still hear and I'm over twice that age. My hearing is therefore not damaged - in fact I stopped one video when I could begin to hear the sound and it was on something like "wow, that's amazing". I didn't stop on the "this is a test for humans not dogs or bats":rotfl:, but I stopped well high and could still hear at the lowest frequencies as well. Perhaps I do have the ability to hear some sounds that usually only animals hear. There are some people on the autism spectrum that can hear the sound of flourescent lights, tubes inside televisions and electrical current inside electrical items buzzing - I don't think I've ever heard those sorts of things but I probably according to this still have good hearing. I was never one to find sound particularly overwhelming or painful - I think I would have been diagnosed much sooner in my life if that had interfered with it - but I can hear lots of things that most people don't seem to notice as they are in the background for them - everything is in foreground for me although it is not on top of each other and I can make things out and hear speech perfectly well even in a nightclub with background sound that I can also hear. I have never been able to work, even to copy a piece of paper in a photocopier, or to write an essay or assignment, with music in the background on - my brain always focuses on the music and I can't handle both - this is apparently related to my autism - I need silence, or near silence, so that I can concentrate and write. In fact, it seems to be music as I can still write this with no problem even though the television is on and I can still write on a computer even if people are chatting in the background. However, music has always distracted me away to listening to it - I just thought this was because some people can concentrate with music on and others can't but apparently it is related to my autism.

I bet the way I hear this Yanny/Laurel (as neither of them) is affected by my autism and I seem to like music different from what "everyone else" likes as well.

I've not been able to toggle between Yanny and Laurel and hear different of the two of those depending on how I am listening to it. I have never heard either of them - just "yearry" every time.

I can't imagine how anyone could hear Laurel from it, and I can't imagine how anyone could hear Yanny either. So, while I am told that people hear one of those two, I hear neither of them and seem to end up in a class of my own again picking an option that no-one else has envisaged. I think there are videos and multiple choice options to select which one you hear. They ask do you hear Yanny? Or do you hear Laurel? I am unable to select either of the two options as neither of them is true and they do not provide me with any other option or way to answer so I am unable to complete the survey at all:rotfl:. I am willing to reply "None of the above" but they do not provide that option or anything similar to it.

I am unusual. I was told on one of my medical assessments that they could see some aspects that matched what they wanted but others that they had never seen before:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. I am filled with seeming contradictions that, to me, actually aren't: I don't give you the answer you have envisaged but reveal something totally new:D. I'm unusual, and I will trip up and overturn all of your previous assumptions and challenge them.

I just heard on the radio news that Prince Charles will be walking Meghan down the aisle

Be a good idea if I went there I think:rotfl::rotfl:.

He's not going even to walk her down the aisle:eek:. (:eek:_pale_How will I cope with this revelation?:rotfl:) Apparently, I'm now told that she will walk down half the aisle alone.

So: he's not even going to walk her down the aisle, but merely down half the aisle (the second half of it presumably). "Half the aisle" is not "the" aisle - the two things are different concepts to me (every single changed word is different from any other:rotfl:) - so it turns out Princes Charles won't even walk her down "the aisle" but merely down half the aisle and I have been misled. The rest of the world has not been technically and completely accurate on every count once again and I have now found it out to be giving me an inaccurate and incorrect claim as ever:rotfl::rotfl:.

Told you he wouldn't walk her down the aisle but merely that he was "able" to do so:rotfl:. That was as far as the statement that Kensington Palace actually released ended up going. So, Kensington Palace able to use the 'get-out clause' to escape as they have never lied and have been technically truthful throughout.

Meanwhile, to me, the media, that have been claiming that the Prince of Wales will ("will" - an absolute word that something definitely will happen, seemingly as if the media have the ability to predict the future as to what has not yet happened) walk Meghan down the aisle have been misleading, as it seems he will not walk her down "the aisle" - namely the entire and complete length of every aspect of the "aisle" - but merely down a different and completely separate thing, namely just half of it! And: have they measured both parts of the aisle to ensure that the claim of "half", that is exactly and precisely half of it, is now totally and completely exact?(:rotfl::rotfl:)

Perhaps they should have stated 'part of the aisle' ? :rotfl: :rotfl:

There won't be any queues in supermarkets tomorrow (according to this, point number 10: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43920630) - everyone will be watching the Royal Wedding.

(Or at least the queues will be "lacking" - that's not the same as saying there won't be any at all:rotfl:.)

They are now stating half the aisle in one newscast I've just seen. Perhaps they are now hearing my 'complaint' from the ether:rotfl:.
