Again, the media assuming this to be the case - I don't know why they are doing so:rotfl::rotfl:.

The BBC News (on the BBC News Channel) has just opened "We now know who is going to walk [her] down the aisle...". As a result, I thought "Do we? I don't.":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Really I do.

However, it's still a little unclear though (the statement from Kensington Palace) as it leaves open the theoretical possibility that he might not do so. Perhaps we should sometimes be wary of communication like this. In the EU referendum campaign, "everyone" will remember the statement or slogan "Let's give £x million to the NHS". As someone else pointed out online, they never said that they would. It's just a suggestion or aspiration. Many people took it to mean that £x million would go to the NHS and that is really what it means. However, Asperger's POV maybe, it's never actually said that and thus later opened up a way for the people making the statement to claim that they never said that. It doesn't say they'd give £x m, or indeed anything, to the NHS - it's merely "Let's do so...". This is merely a suggestion of what might or could be done but may, indeed will, not be done. A bit like "Let's go for a walk in the park", which you may or may not do depending on whether you think it is a good idea.

Let's end this post:rotfl::rotfl:. Well, we might, we might not...:D:rotfl:

Presumably, in the highly unlikely event (and we hope it won't be the case) that something unexpected intervenes that prevents Princes Charles walking Meghan down the aisle, Kensington Palace will now be able, truthfully, to deny that they ever said he would. That may or may not have been the intention of the update as worded as they have released. It does give them that opportunity though, as a side-effect. They probably just communicated the way most people do. But it's there - and the Asperger's person, in the way I do, is actually pinning people down to being specific and actually forcing them to commit to Princes Charles walking her down in the aisle in all cirumstances and without any ability to back away from it (not even an unforessen event, unless you expressly state "Barring any unforeseen event, Princes Charles will walk etc..." - you have to remember that then as well so as not to be tripped up by me:D. Really though, I'm not actually trying to catch you out - even though it may then feel very much like I am - I'm just trying to get people to be absolutely correct and accurate. In every respect without exception:rotfl::rotfl:). You have to be very careful with me who has Asperger's:rotfl::rotfl:. In theory anyway - as I'm just saying that this way making a point and I don't actually mean it seriously.

I don't think you're trying to catch me out Savvy - I have a son with Asperger's and we have to be very precise with him too :)

Whether Prince Charles actually does it or not does not detract from the fact that I definitely heard it on the BBC radio news :rotfl: :rotfl:

In a modern world, why does anyone have to walk you down the aisle?
An independent woman could do it herself, followed by bridesmaids would be lovely.......

    Afternoon peeps.

I think Race for Life are struggling to fill places this year, the one I am doing on Sunday, places still available which a few years ago was unheard of. I have noticed the last few years, there are less and less people attending. Shame.

I dont know why they dont open it up to everyone as they would get more people to enter and raise money. My children have always said they would like to do it but they cant as they are boys.
