Hypothetical question ... if you receive cashback for a transaction that you either didn't complete, or it was cancelled, can you keep it? After all, they confirm transactions weeks later, before they pay, and you have no control over whether they pay or not.

If a retailer/service provider was offering a giftcard/cheque for signing up, and they sent that to you after you had cancelled, can you keep it? Their system is set up to verify the transaction before they send it, so assume their system believes you are entitled to it ...

And in either case, can they reclaim it?

    Hypothetical answers welcomed ...

    Thanks

One of the long-term side effects of my chemotherapy has been peripheral neuropathy - I get pain in my feet/toes as if they are freezing cold, when they are in fact warm to the touch.
This has been getting increasingly worse, and I didn't want to take another chemical in my body - which would "dampen" my whole nervous system.
So my GP prescribed a cream made from hot chilli peppers to try.
I rubbed the cream on my feet and toes as directed, but didn't feel any difference.

After a few hours I went out shopping to Asda, and then it hit me - OMG my feet were on fire! :o

I literally had to "hot foot" it around Asda at double speed - it was agonising :o

As soon as I got home, I had to immediately put my feet in a bucket of cold water - much to the amusement of my family :o

I'm frightened to try the cream again :(

Capsaicin cream? We advise people to only put it on for 30 mins to start with, because of that exact reaction

Try it for 30 mins then wash it off :)

    Thanks Dizzy Ditzy :A

Yes, that's the cream - I was just told to put it on 3-4 times a day, nothing about washing off after a certain time :o

I'll give it a try using your advice thank you :A

I'll also put on my nitrile rubber gloves to apply it :o

You didnt get cash back in the shop did you?

i find the shoppix app quite a waste of time for the money vouchers. however, it stores up all my receipts and i often look back at receipts to see what ive bought. eg i rarely spend over £5 in waitrose and i had a transaction for £51. so i looked back at receipt and seen i had cb. so for the storage of receipts i will carry on with shoppix.

Horizontal mergers of the big players shouldn't happen. O2 and three tried to merge, that failed. ASDA parent could invest in Sainsbury's without a merger at the most (argos concessions store in an asda?).... but those two players combing won't actually improve things for the consumer and will lead to job cuts etc.

Just wondering if this is one of those fake news things that does the rounds.
Cant see this happening, it would be like combing apples and pears - completely different species
