JTS how fantastic :j. I'm over the moon for you and the family with such great results. Yes do make the most of the summer, book your cruise and enjoy. One thing I will say is check temperatures of possible destinations. I find holidays July/August just too hot for me and end up hunting for shade otherwise breathing is difficult and I tire easily if it's mega hot. Ends up nobody enjoys it as I'm moaning cos iof heat, the family are fed up with me moaning :o :rotfl: :rotfl: that's why we tend to go earlyin year or later, but each to their own.

Whatever you decide, enjoy it as much as you can xx

Right Llovelies I need to get up & drag this foot down to town to SD

The AFib booklet I ordered from British Heart Foundation arrived this morning for Fourp, he is refusing to read it :(
    But I will

Leave the book in view, he might well pick it up while your dragging that foot to SD xx

NG, how lovely to see you posting the other day. I'm on catch-up here, a few pages behind as is usual for me these days

You are doing very well from what you're saying and I'm so happy about that :j. You've been through the mill and more still to come but like I said to JTS, make the most of the summer and enjoy your holiday too. Cruise wasn't it that you were thinking of? I've only done one cruise but that was a winter cruise to cold climes, I'd love to do a sunshine cruise at some point.

As long as you don't go over doing things and don't get too much sun and heat you will be fine. It's about 3 years since my last holiday due to health issues but nothing like you're going through, but I understand any trepidation you may have, I'm trying to make light of mine but not an easy task.

Wherever you go, whatever you do, enjoy the relaxing time with with family xx

I was all set to enter then didn't bother as I won't go and there's nowhere convenient for DD since she's moved.

If you prompt me next time it's on and tell me which location you want, I'll enter on your behalf.

When I get rejected by BI for their annual new menu shindig I boycott the place in a fit of puque, often for nearly a year. Then I remember I have vouchers or codes and I start going again ...

I have this £10 voucher now - Possibly towards a lunchtime deal or their £5 breakfasts - but it will be quite a few months yet ...

  • Morning all!

We've just been up to the cattery to visit our two cats who are staying there whilst we get all the building work done. They're always so pleased to see us and it's horrible to say goodbye again :-( .

I'm off to Asda now to go and look for Nivea :-).

I would love to go on holiday at other times of the year as I'm not too fond of very hot - but am restricted due to DD and DS school/Uni term dates :(
We went on a cruise before in August, just before my diagnosis two years ago - and found the air-conditioned cabin with a balcony a great combination :)

Hope you have a wonderful holiday yourself :A

  • One of the long-term side effects of my chemotherapy has been peripheral neuropathy - I get pain in my feet/toes as if they are freezing cold, when they are in fact warm to the touch.
This has been getting increasingly worse, and I didn't want to take another chemical in my body - which would "dampen" my whole nervous system.
So my GP prescribed a cream made from hot chilli peppers to try.
I rubbed the cream on my feet and toes as directed, but didn't feel any difference.

After a few hours I went out shopping to Asda, and then it hit me - OMG my feet were on fire! :o

I literally had to "hot foot" it around Asda at double speed - it was agonising :o

As soon as I got home, I had to immediately put my feet in a bucket of cold water - much to the amusement of my family :o

I'm frightened to try the cream again :(

    Good Morning everyone
I was wondering if anyone could advise me ?

I’ve just checked my bank statement and I have a £50 payment at my local Mcoll, unfortunately I don’t have my receipt but I would never spend £50 in there so I think they have accidentally typed in 50 instead 0.50p

Is there anyway I could get my money back ? Should I go speak to them ? :(:(:(
You didnt get cash back in the shop did you?

 Well if you try it again, make sure you wash your hands before visiting the little boys room!
