No mum is adamant she is going home .

Well she will need help our tweets is refusing to be run ragged I have already told them in home that.

You will have to be really firm with the Social workers and make sure your mum has everything she will need set up at home before she goes there.

They sent my Dad home with a catheter and a bag that needed changing daily which he couldn't manage because of his arthritis. Its not part of a community nurses job now to come in twice daily or daily to do this - they only came in twice a week, you have to manage by yourself. He was constantly ringing them ... That was the start of it with my dad and then he had another fall and never went home again ...

I suspect she will be expecting you to do everything she needs, you really need to remind her that you have a life outside of waitinig on her hand and foot.

Last time she fell and went home she had social going in 6 weeks free. 3 times a day. But by time the 6 weeks was up she had shooed them all away . Very stubborn is my mum always as been . I am afraid this time stubborn wont work even though my bro is moaning about money mums money. He is 15% away from his big sis having a right good ole go at him . He will wonder whats hit him if I do :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It's a very difficult time and you and your mum both have my sympathies. The yearning for home must be so strong, and I think it would be hard for anyone to have to be suddenly facing the fact that they can't go back to living independently. I've known a couple of people who tried going back, but once they were back home they realised that they just couldn't cope.:(

The part I feel sorry for most is that sometimes people go from hospital to care home and then they never ever see their home again. I have made my DD promise that if ever this sort of situation should arise with me, she is to bring me home where possible, just for short visits, so I can make decisions about what I want to keep and what I want to have with me. (Which is another good reason for some more serious decluttering now, while I am very able to do so, as it cuts down the decision-making later on.)

They say it comes in threes

    1. Speeding ticket

    2. Opened up new sink to find it cracked.

    3. Car sounds like a bag of hammers and has conked out on the drive

Will catch up later once I have a cup of tea and take my bra off

will the bra be used to fix the car or as a temporary sink or being bare chested as a means to avoid the fine ...:rotfl:
