excellent.
That reminds me of sonething I read on the dark side about stores running out of £5 vouchers ... but if I did find £2 bras and have an excuse for a trip to Birmingham then thats something ...
She tried that with me lol but I wasn t having any of it . So while I was still being nice lol she offered to go and check somewhere. She never even mentioned the £5 in the first place but I did.
Came back eventually with a new bundle, apparently the security people had them . I wasn t bothered who had them as long as I had one lol. The thing is this was at the beginning of the promotion so the should definitely have had some . I didn't need to say anything more but I would have done0 -
Good morning beautiful people off to add again today chucking it down here already0

Oh and I bought two bits of reduced jewellery for just over the £5 , the bracelets ok but the earrings  they were rather large shall we say like gypsies lol
. They are sleepers with some nice small stones in but I thought they d be small but they are the size of ( and I'm trying to think of a comparison lol) they are about 1 and a half inches whereas I thought they d be about half an inch.
So IF I do wear them and you come across me Nellie I haven t become a gypsy:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Good morning all, looks wet out there
I am going to try out some of that Vanish carpet cleaner that you sprinkle on today. Should be entertaining, I can't move some of the furniture anyway, solid oak and relatively deep carpet do not mix :rotfl::rotfl:TrulyMadly wrote: »Kitchen chaos continues
Day 2 without a sink:o
And no weekend respite either:o
Water out of the bathroom just doesn't taste the same:o
Loved your story Di......some folk shouldn't work in retail.
Just one "stupid" question TM, you don't have a water softener do you? Just that if you do you should not be drinking from anything other than a drinking water tap.
I am getting more and more annoyed at the fact that our local Debenhams has closed down  I "might" be going to another town that has one, but it won't be until at least next month. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
diluvsdiscounts wrote: »Good morning. Shower gels worked yesterday but oh boy pandoraskids they are so rude in your local. I asked a lady on the self scan if she could please check for me if they were on 3 for 2 as there were no signs up she said no you have to go to customer services. No problem I thought not very helpful but hey ho so off I go to customer services with my three bottles of shower gel and my mother in tow with her own trolley in case they are working so I can do an extra shop.
So I get to customer services and the SA is looking down at something so as I'm standing their wondering if she has missed my arrival another girl arrives and looks straight at me so I smiled at her and she looked from me, forgetting to smile back and starts talking to the lady who it would appear still didn't know I was there. I stood there for what was probably another 20 seconds, which I know isn't that much of a long time but when I still hadn't been acknowledged I saw my @rse placed my shower gels down on the counter and said UNBELIEVABLE and they still didnt take me on so i got my trolley turned myself around and walked away. With my mother who at this point was totally baffled. I glanced over my shoulder and the shower gels were still in the same place and they were still holding their conversation and seemed unaware that i had walked away.
How do some of these people get and keep their jobs?
And then Sunflower text me and saved the day, fortunately there were 9 left on the shelf. I laughed because I thought I will look a right idiot if there's only 8 and I have to go to customer services and say excuse me I'm the lady that just had a paddy and you didn't notice please could I have one of the shower gels I left behind:rotfl:
 This is why I walk past the tills and see who's working before I do my shopand never go to customer services if I can help it. There are some really lovely, friendly staff there but also some right grumpy ones
A couple of years ago, one of the duty managers approached me as I was leaving the store & told me that taking receipts from trolleys in the car park was theft and that using apgs gained from them was fraud - I kept my cool & told her I would be emailing head office, which I did as soon as I got home. Got a nice reply from them stating that I was perfectly entitled to do this and that they would inform the store of this. Since then, I haven't had any problems but try to keep a little more under the radar. Coincidentally, the trolley staff now seem to do much more efficient job and the car park is always much tidier :rotfl:Pandora's Little Sister 30/11/17 x0 -

evening all,
Im back from babysitting in London got back yesterday early evening.
Arrived down there last sunday not a trace of the marathon apart from loads of rubbish..my son and family were at one of the watering stations, and they ran out of water!!! so the YHA got the hose out and water cups...a lot of complaints by the runners apparently but my son got some wonderful photos.
I worked on The Marathon ( my sisters co does the catering ) and the situation with water was ridiculous. They always have pallets of water delivered by the sponsor ( Buxton I think ) but its never distributed around the site till Sunday. Apparently they tried to get 3 extra pallets delivered but the transport company wanted an extra £1000.00 to deliver it. ( NOT THAT THEY CANT AFFORD IT ) We are usually on mains water but this year we had a water bowser with a limited amount of water available. We did our best to give out water on Saturday but on Sunday we had volunteers and workers continually coming for water to refill their bottles when there were pallets of water all over the place but not in the right place!! Initially we said no but then my sister said just give people water if we have to take home dirty pots and pans so be it.
On the whole its very well organised but its not like they didnt know it would be hot. Did your son get a volunteers badge?0
