evening all,
Im back from babysitting in London got back yesterday early evening.
Arrived down there last sunday not a trace of the marathon apart from loads of rubbish..my son and family were at one of the watering stations, and they ran out of water!!! so the YHA got the hose out and water cups...a lot of complaints by the runners apparently but my son got some wonderful photos.
The eldest GS whos 3 had an awful head cold and conjunctivitis he awoke Monday morning with both eyes stuck together, but after bathing them and instilling eye drops regularly they were almost better when I left, I just hope the little one doesn't contract it..
as I sleep on a blow up mattress in the lounge at DS, it has now got a slow puncture so after 2 hours I have to inflate it again and then repeat again, by about 4 am I end up on the settee...then as GS was really restless Tuesday night...his mum and him ended up on my deflating bed and me on the settee...talk about musical beds!!!!!
so therefore no epic days out this week..i did venture into boots got the magazine and the code for the 17 products...so a few orders waiting for me at my local boots when arriving home.
On the drive down the red warning light went onthis has been an on going saga with the adblu system...the car went to the main dealer last week to be repaired, we hung around all day drinking free coffees until it was fixed, but obviously it wasn't!!!!
so back again ..100 mile round trip and 2 cars go to the dealer again...caf! rouge for lunch, afternoon tea (well coffee really) courtesy of Mr Gregg, and it would have been water from Mr W.H Smith but they had run out:(
Popped into SD which was in the same shopping centre as caf! rouge, and wow !!!!!:)
palmolive handwash 500ml 25p
herbal essence dry shampoo 7p
loreal hair mousse 3p
munchkins water heat reacting ducks for the bath 30p
kiddies feeding bowls 8p
pantene foam conditioner 4p
elvive volume mousse 35p
so lots of goodies
back to the dealer as they had forgotten to ring us, and they have now said the car needs a whole new system due to a fault..so back home minus the poorly car,
Quick pop into A for nivea but they only had 3 but managed to get a couple of rtcfor supper:)
tomorrow DH + gs dental appointments for fillings,
I have hair appointment and an eye test--
and as luck would have it I have an eye test voucher come thru with the junk mail
So back hopefully for a repaired car on Saturday,
then back to London sunday....and in between time washing and housework and sleep....:)
Wow, remember to sleep.. you must be exhausted!0 -
Well, on Tuesday went on a shopping trip, planned to finish at As which I did then realised that I had left the APGs at home:mad:
Bought a few things from my list, and a couple of new bras, 4 bras, that fit for the price of 1 in Debenhams.
I knew I would get an APG for my shopping, but, mr P picked up the receipt from the table and had oil on his hands, can't read 4 numbers now:mad: When I have a spare hour or 2 I will try all of the possible combinations!
So this evening, after a cheap dinner,my friend gave me 2 sea bass, bit bored, a no drink night :rotfl: I thought pop to As, get the few bits I need and use up those APGs and might get lucky with the whoopsies.
Whoopsie wise 7.30 obviously too late for chilled and veg except 8 parsnips for 5p. Loads of bread, rolls, flat breads etc at 5p a pack, bought as much as the freezer will take.
Well the £1.73 apg went through ok, but not the £10.22, receipt didn't match...... It didn't, but I was sure I doubled checked this, back home, been through all my receipts, can I heck find it and also no other receipt shows me as having used it!!
On the plus side, I think, found 2 more bras, which now I don't need, but bought them anyway at £2 each:T
BUT, From the savvy side of the shop The blinking APG site doesn't want to know the numbers!
I'm giving up!0 -
QT. I do love how a glamorous and rather rich lawyer still uses a cheap bic blue pen. Some of the best things in life are still cheap.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Good morning. Shower gels worked yesterday but oh boy pandoraskids they are so rude in your local. I asked a lady on the self scan if she could please check for me if they were on 3 for 2 as there were no signs up she said no you have to go to customer services. No problem I thought not very helpful but hey ho so off I go to customer services with my three bottles of shower gel and my mother in tow with her own trolley in case they are working so I can do an extra shop.
So I get to customer services and the SA is looking down at something so as I'm standing their wondering if she has missed my arrival another girl arrives and looks straight at me so I smiled at her and she looked from me, forgetting to smile back and starts talking to the lady who it would appear still didn't know I was there. I stood there for what was probably another 20 seconds, which I know isn't that much of a long time but when I still hadn't been acknowledged I saw my @rse placed my shower gels down on the counter and said UNBELIEVABLE and they still didnt take me on so i got my trolley turned myself around and walked away. With my mother who at this point was totally baffled. I glanced over my shoulder and the shower gels were still in the same place and they were still holding their conversation and seemed unaware that i had walked away.
How do some of these people get and keep their jobs?
And then Sunflower text me and saved the day, fortunately there were 9 left on the shelf. I laughed because I thought I will look a right idiot if there's only 8 and I have to go to customer services and say excuse me I'm the lady that just had a paddy and you didn't notice please could I have one of the shower gels I left behind:rotfl:0 -

Morning all
I am going to be near a small Superdrug today so I need to update the list of possible RTC to look for - although I never get lucky in this store but I live in hope.
Also found one new points offer on the Boots app which I must have missed before ..
ON COS a new offer this morning - £1 off the bigger bags of Hippeas but only from Asda or Tesco - might be good for a T v A shop as Asda have them for £1.50 - good value for 50p after cashback.
Yesterdays freebies still showing.
I've withdrawn from both of our COS accounts this week as both were over £20.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
