    Bit of research and I think LibreOffice is what you need AJ.

    I think OpenOffice is old now not sure if it's up to date anymore, wiki mentions openoffice then Apache openoffice then LibreOffice maybe it's some sort of reincarnation we need someone techie. :o

    Do you mean Libraoffice? I use that one instead of Excel.

    How far will you have to travel to pick them up E? :)

    Only about 25 miles, we have actually done it through a Notcutts that has contacts with a breeder that has been going for 30 years :D

    So my new laptop hasn!!!8217;t got Microsoft Word, there is an offer to try or buy on there but the price :eek:

    No DVD slot (blame Mr AJ) so I can!!!8217;t even buy a cheap one to install.

    Question is: Is there anything online free that would give me word, if anything else if it!!!8217;s free :o :cool: thank you xx

    I use OpenOffice too, find it perfectly good, and I get on well with the spreadsheets.

    We have MS Office on the office computer, but we have an IT contact that had a spare licence for it. Office 360 must be a bit of a money spinner though, yearly subsccription :eek: That's the way a lot of software seems to be going though :(

    Hello strangers !!!128563;
    Can’t belive it’s been 5 years since I was last here !!!128561;
    been lurking a bit for the last couple of weeks but this post made me want to log in and reply
    AJ check out eBay for MS office 2016
    Done it a few weeks ago(after reading about it on mse) and it cost me £3.50 or so for a version that doesn’t ‘block’ you after a year !!!128548; was really mad as I had no idea when I first bought the stupid subscription !!!128548; I know some say that it’s not ‘morally right’ or something but I don’t care !!!128541;
    I used to use OpenOffice in the past but needed the proper thing and it works perfectly

    Anyhow hth xx

    I second this. I purchased MS Office 2016 from eBay back in January. Paid £6 ish and can download on up to 5 computers. Working perfectly for me. Hth

    Definitely Ebay. Apparently it comes with new computers (Office not Ebay) and the resellers sell off the keys, so it is a legitimate purchase, just you are putting it on a different machine than originally intended.
