Thank you for the advice you gave me a couple of days ago. DH already had a nectar card but, when I checked, they had cancelled it as it hadn't been used for nearly 5 years ! I phoned them to check and they are issuing a card in his name linked to my account - but with the last 4 digits different. Do you think that I can use his new card to link to Amex - and then the bonus points will all be on the same account ? I know you mentioned getting a new card for him and linking it to my account but they said they couldn't do that.

Sounds like they are issuing him a new supplementary card for your account.

    No bonus points with that.

    Today’s household bargains....

    Toilet Brushes:rotfl:

Reduced in Wilco to £2 :D

Surely at that price you can replace your old one:D

    Stainless steel and very sturdy:)

With the money you save you can buy lots of cheap nuts and crisps lurking at the end of the till:rotfl:

    :eek::eek:

I won't have a toilet brush in the house.

Keep the poo in the loo. That's my motto.

A good squirt of bleach daily seems to be sufficient.

And limescale remover on a regular basis.

    :D

I seem to be waiting at the terminus in Candy Crush! Never thought I would catch up with it

Edited: waiting at the terminus on FB, and on Android, but weirdly on the app on my laptop I can keep going!

That's the one thing I don't like about retirement, given that Grumpy is still working, albeit part time, the 'expectation' that I will cook! Don't get be wrong, I enjoy cooking, but not every day!

No I lied, there are 2 things, when I worked he did 90% of the ironing, lucky if he does 5% now:mad:

This is still a novelty He has been finishing off making the dinners for years as he was home hours earlier than me or not working in the winter

When he is off again in the bad/cold weather cooking will be spilt I do paperwork and shopping he does manual tasks so shared fairly overall

Basically they are a bacteria factory from the very first use, all multiplying rapidly in their pretty holder in a nice warm bathroom.

I can beat that. I often go out to work with my OH, and do the same work as him if not a bit more walking, running around fetching things (think gopher). Then we come home, he sits down and has a nap, I have to do dinner and keep up with the housework.

He does the washing up at Christmas and sometimes on my birthday, he does not iron, and his version of making dinner on a Saturday is reheating a soup I have made and reheating rolls I have made, or possibly heating up garlic baguettes.

    He will never change though.
Oh, but why do we still love them??
My grumpy, many years ago, complained about washing up, given his height, being bad for his back, but latterly he has mucked in when we've had guests, I guess it is to stop me nagging about a dishwasher! He tells all our friends that he loves cooking... no!! even suggesting he grates some stilton into the broccoli soup I made would be 'too much faff', but if i served it without...........
Like yours, he will never change.
