Morning, anyone know the best way to dry chillies?
Got a huge bag for 10p per KG, very thin, green, small, may be Bird's Eye?
Never had any success drying them before.

    Hello Sue:A

I just stick mine straight in the freezer and grate them while still frozen:)

Thanks all for not taking part in order to allow me my moment of glory - what gets me is you lot are so first - even when I get them right it takes me twice as long as everyone else and it is not because I am cheating and looking stuff up.

I used to drop in every now and again, particularly in the days when Mr T was spending a fortune proving that he was not the cheapest supermarket (those were the days) and when I wanted to check out how to do a particular 'deal', SC is also a nice friend so she mentions this thread. Problem is I could never keep up and I hate dipping in and out - cue more recently and I have been working much closer to home and have been able to keep up. Very sadly that all ends this week when I have 100 days at her majesties pleasure in Croydon, the extra 2-3 hours a day travel time probably means I will be an occasional visitor for a while.

Oh course my back has chosen this time to flare up again so walking and particularly standing for long periods is tricky so I will have to take the stopper train to get a seat making the day even longer :(

I’m sorry to hear that you got a custodial sentence:o

    :p

    I will miss you posting:smileyhea:smileyhea

Can you not post between tidying out your cell and visiting time?:o

I stumbled across it by accident:) I kept seeing the word Elite and curiosity finally got the better of me and I took a peep. I read for ages before I signed up.....maybe a year. I used to say to Mr TM....” The people on this thread are living on nowt” but I couldn’t really get the hang of it. Much of it seemed in code:rotfl:

It reached a point where I began to feel I was stalking you all:o I knew lots about your lives and loved the camaraderie and friendliness.

So I posted:) I think AJ welcomed me first, then lots of others and I’ve never left really:)

I shadowed lots of the glitches for ages before I jumped in with both feet. Unsure if I ever mentioned it, but you will recall the lager glitch in S. I honestly can’t remember what it was called but we were getting it nearly free I think :rotfl: It was the first time I really had a serious go at a glitch.

On my first visit, I reached up to the top shelf to get a pack of the lager. I was so nervous that it fell out of my hands and smashed all over the floor. It fell from such a height that the glass flew right up the aisle in both directions. It nearly put paid to my elite journey:rotfl:

Nearly but not quite, thank goodness:D
I never managed to find any of the vouchers for that one, so missed out...Now I know who took them all!!

    Evening peeps.

Found the Cokes with the free 500ml voucher label, 2 for £2.50.
Peeled the labels off at the till, after paying, to use on the 2 small bottles.
The sa had to alter the scanned price of the voucher as it must have scanned at the large bottle £1.66 price instead of the £1.29 small bottle price!
Not 100% sure of this but as I only had the 2 small bottles in the 2nd transaction it seemed strange that she adjusted the price.
So there may be an overage opportunity iyswim!

    Hth.

Edit. Full sugar coke, free zero, bought in little A.

    Today’s household bargains....

    Toilet Brushes:rotfl:

Reduced in Wilco to £2 :D

Surely at that price you can replace your old one:D

    Stainless steel and very sturdy:)

With the money you save you can buy lots of cheap nuts and crisps lurking at the end of the till:rotfl:

Sorry if that’s graphic but that’s what happens when you are forced to watch too many episodes of Silent Witless:eek:

Probably worth also checking out the referrals board or PMing any of the Elite who already have an amex to see if their referral is worth more.

Thank you for the advice you gave me a couple of days ago. DH already had a nectar card but, when I checked, they had cancelled it as it hadn't been used for nearly 5 years ! I phoned them to check and they are issuing a card in his name linked to my account - but with the last 4 digits different. Do you think that I can use his new card to link to Amex - and then the bonus points will all be on the same account ? I know you mentioned getting a new card for him and linking it to my account but they said they couldn't do that.

That's the one thing I don't like about retirement, given that Grumpy is still working, albeit part time, the 'expectation' that I will cook! Don't get be wrong, I enjoy cooking, but not every day!

No I lied, there are 2 things, when I worked he did 90% of the ironing, lucky if he does 5% now:mad:

I can beat that. I often go out to work with my OH, and do the same work as him if not a bit more walking, running around fetching things (think gopher). Then we come home, he sits down and has a nap, I have to do dinner and keep up with the housework.

He does the washing up at Christmas and sometimes on my birthday, he does not iron, and his version of making dinner on a Saturday is reheating a soup I have made and reheating rolls I have made, or possibly heating up garlic baguettes.

    He will never change though.
