Morning all hope everyone is well.

Not slept very well and I've started with a rather worrying symptom again this morning. Sorry I can't go into detail it's a bit too much to be putting stuff like this on here xx

    Good afternoon.....Hope all is well with you all.....MIA last week....Had a busy work week....But I'm back now...:D

I am 40 pages behind...So I guess it can stay at that...too much to read....If I've missed anything it will have to stay missed...:rotfl: Just hope I have not missed any glitches...:D

Good news from me though....DS.....Went for his job interview in Warrington.....He had a 45 minute interview with a guy like Claude Littner from the Apprentice....Loads of pressure followed by a presentation in front of an 8 member panel........That would have been enough to frighten me off.....He got the job....:j.....To get it he had two phone interviews..two Skype interviews...online tests...the one to one and the presentation...........To say that Dad is proud is an understatement......:j:j:j:j I am incredibly happy for him....:D

He starts on the 22nd....Have to find some accomodation before then......

    Tata for now....

Wonderful news, well done Marmie's son!

    Gocat.
Someone posted a link to a complete thread on gift cards on the dark side.
Sorry don't know how to do it myself.
    Have a look.

I am probably going to have to do this as well if I am going to get anywhere near the target spend for my Amex rewards card.

Also a John Lewis gift card would be useful for the waitrose spends.

    Thanks for this curl girl.
mhoc put 6,250 Morrisons more points on £50 gift card purchases, in darkside search. Very interesting.

I seem to recall 6250 (£6.25) back in More points per £50 spend in gift cards? 5000 bonus per £50 card at the moment on various giftcards plus the normal points. Not sure if it would have to be separate transactions?

Also spend minimum 2 Am3x reward points towards £25 on giftcards on Amazon, get £10 or was it £15 back IIRC (so would need to factor in the refund).

Wow another way to bump up the balance. Thought this was going to be hard work.
Reason why I left it so late was we had a full big bills to pay in the middle of January but when we went to pay some of them they dont take amex
So the morries link and now the amazon link is a life saver :T:T

Thanks altojack, just got up to make a hot drink (first time today) and having a quick catch up.
Must say antibiotics seem to be working, and they gave me a spacer with an inhaler at the walk-in-centre and a prescription for the antibiotics. Had me use the spacer while I was there, 5 puffs under supervision which seemed a lot, and check chest before and after.
Told me to use it up to 5 puffs at home as needed.

They were fantastic at walk-in. But realising how difficult it is when you have no one to look after you when really ill; and poor Mum isn't able to do anything to help :(
Sorry just feeling a bit isolated and weepy _pale_:sad:_pale_

Oh Sue, we are here, but I guess not physically close. Don't weep, your mum would if she could.

Very interesting whoopsies at our A today, Wild Boar steaks and Pheasant @£1.25 :T
    Smoked salmon @73p
Got a few curries at 98p - the grumpy one has these when i'm not cooking!

Lovely SA with the reduction gun pointed me in the direction of loaves of bread for 5p.

Also tomatoes, carrots, spring onions and pears all at 5p:T:T

Did my first ever mullers shop! (separate to the RTCs of course!)
Net spend on groceries this month/year £35.47!! and the freezers/fridge and cupboards are groaning!
Thanks so much to all of you lovely people for pointing me in the right direction.

Very impressed with your posh yellow labels - not one store around here, large or small has had any useful RTC or Christmas reductions. I think the only thing I've found so far is a couple of Princes fruit cocktail tins for 25p each

    Just updated my excel chart.
The cupboards and under the stairs store are quite full - thanks to the Heinz glitch and a few Morribobs tins. Plus I got 6 of the Marks six pound meal deals using android pay so they only cost me £1 or £3 each set in real money. We are still working our way through a backlog of various cashback free and nearly beers, ciders and soft drinks so it will be a long while before I need to buy any of these.
Errant son has been working quite a few mornings so we have had quite a few big family evening meals using meat from the freezer but we keep running out of vegetables.
I did another Amazon pantry order mainly for catfood and OH got a giant bag of peanuts for the birds and yet more cat litter from B & M so £38.17 spent on the menagerie, £58.01 for human food :) and £13.21 on small fripperies and odds and sods
(including toothpaste, shampoo for Boots points and nivea cream for cashback so I broke the No toiletries rule already :) )

Still £114 is not too bad for half way through January and less than the average daily spend for last year.

On the plus side one of my shopprize acc had enough for a £5 amazon e voucher, both of our shoppixxes are nearly on target and all the COS accounts I am drawing down this week so it will be a very economical month.
