Anyone considering getting an Android, the A3 may be worth considering with either the £10 back on £50 Arg0s VC deal or the 20% off on eBay from midday today?

£15 Google play credit, £50 trade in, go through Q to eBay for potentially another 5% off?

Would a purchase from Argos through eBay qualify though? It is available for Fast Track collection, which suggests you may get the usual Argos receipt from an eBay purchase? It states you get a full Argos warranty.

Why don't you put said sim in your phone and ring someone else mobile and number will show up for you :)
I can't do that with mine, there's no credit so it just takes you to the top up line.

but it only falls on deaf ears if no one is prepared to do anything about it.....

so now is the time perhaps.

Does anyone have an objection about going back to a more rotating thread?

if you have...speak now .....and maybe we could start again for the 1st JAN....What does everyone think and should we ask Redfox or a mod to start it in order to preserve the current 1st post....

I agree but think redfox should start them all so we have no bickering about who should start new thread :A.

SW thread gets a new one done every time new challenge starts that's approx 9 weekly and no one said its not allowed. :)

... because that would require adding credit which defeats the object :D.

I propose then that we ask redfox to set us a new thread every 3 months...maybe on or around the 1st of the month.

Again perhaps if redfox is passing through she might confirm that she is willing to do this?

I've been having a think too about some sort of way to "pass forward" and I know I posted yesterday asking Marigold to have a chat with her family to see if there is a charity they would like us to support in memory of Sal....its early days yet but I wonder if perhaps TM might be able to keep in touch with marigold and moot the suggestion again in a few days?

TM...is that something you would feel able to do...I think you have kept in contact with marigold previously and perhaps if we know you are going to do it,it might help to stem the repeated request coming from lots of posters to the family....I am sure there are many who may wish to pass a donation to a cherished charity or organisation chosen by Sal's family.....if TM were able to get details I'm sure it would be very much appreciated by many who use or pass through the thread.

I notice that Marigold hasn't been visibly online since she broke the news so at this stage we must wait for her to feel ready to post again...and sometimes a gentle PM can be easier to answer than facing the thread.

Can I tell you about one of the presents in my "tat box".....and it probably seems a little apt at the moment....

This year as always I put a scratchcard in his and DS's box....he decided to do something slightly different for me....over the past 3 weeks or so he's been going "present shopping" and collecting wombles at A ....on christmas morning I had a stack of maybe 30 or so to open....
Their scratchcards produced no winner....but my wombles have given me just over £15 in APG's......

Strangely enough, I was thinking about this yesterday when having a wander in Mr A car park. So many discarded scratch cards........the odds of getting a return from a womble are clearly much better than a scratch card. :T
