    I agree Dave,

I've mentioned a couple of times now that the thread should be restarted monthly to avoid the problem of losing a whole thread due to malicious reporting.....unfortunately it fell on deaf ears of our BG's :(

    Dave 1 c 2 r's btw :)

maybe not deaf ears...just ears that didn't see the potential of losing information....be that informative or just the chit chat that binds the people together.

Maybe it is something we should consider....a bi monthly thread or whatever,I wouldn't have a problem with it changing every now and again, and it does mean that we don't lose masses of stuff should the thread be targeted....

If redfox is around perhaps she would let us know if it is possible to change the thread more often,or is it something that will be discouraged because it is deemed that there is sufficient storage space on the server and we need to continue with the everlasting thread....

Can I tell you about one of the presents in my "tat box".....and it probably seems a little apt at the moment....

some of you might remember last year my OH made me a candle from my mums's favourite tea cup and saucer so I could share an angel chat with her over a cuppa and he has gone on to remake it over the year whenever it's burnt out....he's quite good at taking a situation and thinking out of the box for a solution and far better at the "tat box " than me.

This year as always I put a scratchcard in his and DS's box....he decided to do something slightly different for me....over the past 3 weeks or so he's been going "present shopping" and collecting wombles at A ....on christmas morning I had a stack of maybe 30 or so to open....
Their scratchcards produced no winner....but my wombles have given me just over £15 in APG's......

He's not at the point of embracing my hobby...but I think he's finally understanding that glitching is something I do!

    I love that idea! Well-wombled OH. :T

Good morning Elite. Hugs to those in need. ((cjj))
    Have a great day all.

So Glad you got home Snap....your posts sounded so stressed yesterday.

day 1 of 30 and I am sure there will be plenty of thoughts going forward for the continuing 29...in support of your sister, and to support you too....

I hope you had a lovely family christmas and as I like to refer to them "as you would have wanted".....
and that the new year brings you and your family the peace you all deserve to enjoy life.

I have been meaning to ask how the house move is going...I am in awe of the way that your parents seem to be embracing the move from somewhere that clearly not only houses many physical artefacts but so many memories too....

Thank you Izzeyb...probably the post I didn't want to see....purely because we have little space to store anything.....The W 25% sale has been known in the past to get DS out of bed ....he usually homes in on the lindt!

The 25% seems to have happened very quickly this year.....

For last three years LEJC, the day after the first day they open (28th) has always been the best reduction day.

It is etched in my memory and got my DH out of bed this morning to come with me.

I checked out most of stuff online at daft-o'clock when I couldn't sleep, and went in armed with a shopping list. A lot of things must have sold out yesterday at 50% off.

I would have liked the retro selection box but no sign of them, they are reduced to £1.25 and that's what they are worth.

I even 'bought' him a Latte for his trouble :rotfl:

With some of the xmas gift tins and chocs, I have Easter and birthday extras covered until at least the end of June/July.

Worth checking out dates though, lovely little tub of Waitrose own jelly babies (£1.25) I got for the little lad next door, they are dated February.

Just checked my coupons and the best I have is £10 off £50. With the best will in the world, I couldn’t spend that. So as much as I would like a ride out I’m going to pass. But well done izzey.....some fab bargains:)
