Mmm - wouldn't say no to a bit of breast or leg once that bird was properly basted.

Eldest son and his GF were here for 6.30 on Thursday, a couple of hours early - OH did his signature dish, mince and tatties - all eaten up.
A while later we twigged on why they were both very quiet - we expected them to be quite giddy and de mob happy. Thought at first it was just tiredness - GF had only finished work for Christmas that afternoon and its a long drive across.
Turned out that Eldest son had said something in the car and they had had a full on row and they were in the aftermath of this argument.
GF went off to be at 8.30 and then Eldest son followed at 9.30

There was still a bit of an atmosphere in the morning - Eldest son was a bit snappy with us as we let them sleep in a bit. We were going to do bacon butties but they went off with no breakfast at all - went off to see a mate and then to do more shopping. There train to the airport wasn't until 12.30 but they were also going to get early lunch - even though we told them that the retail park had standing traffic the day before ...

We assume they got their train and flight and arrived safely - needless to say no "arrived safely" messages
At least you weren't kept awake all night by them making up....
    I think....

Amex, if you don't do referral there is quidco/tcb
For a repeat you need to wait 6 months after the closure date, you can ask them the date if in doubt.
Rewards, nectar and cashback are treated as seperate schemes so I have opened nectar and 2 months later gold and should get bonus for both.
As mentioned dw and I alternate as main/supplementary cardholders to increase the period when we are spending on a new customer offer.

Nectar and rewards you can cash out your points and close once you have the bonus, cashback you have to wait 12 months for the cash to be credited and then close so will pay the year 2 fee but can reclaim pro-rata. This also means that it takes at least 18 months between repeats.

Nectar often have a points bonus for applications in oct/nov via the nectar website, this year it was 30k rather than 20k, last year it was 40k!
    I think....
