Christmas Love To You
Oh the crowds outside are frightful,
And I need a sherry trifle,
That Star is shining above, so
Let us love! Let us love! Let us love!
Smile at the crowds when shopping,
Even though you feel like flopping,
Instead of giving a shove
Let us love! Let us love! Let us love!
Tonight we'll cuddle up all snug,
We won't need help from mistletoe
Entwined on the fireside rug,
Never wanting to let you go.
The fire is slowly dying,
And here we are still lying
Christmas is here again
Let us love! Let us love! Let us love!Fighting Recurring Cancer0 -
Just back from shopping Yes it took 5 mins to find a parking space but I have all day to myself :j
Popped into Homebase to see if they had dishwashers tablets Not as good as reported earlier but the Quantum Power were 60 for £5 Below the magic 10p for me
They had just reduced lots of Christmas decorations Some lovely expensive baubles all down to 50p
I bought 4 big cuddly toys £5.00 each Never done that before and DS said NO Ooops may need to keep them for next year or I may just ignore him
Worth a look if you are nearby
Off for a coffee and maybe a wee shut eye :T
Cuddly toys from Homebase? How big are they please?“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Well the plot thickens. I used it in the pub last night and it worked fine. I just cant work it out why it didnt work in a garage and a shop. Might give it one more go in a shop.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I got a Nectar Amex a couple of months ago for the bonus Nectar points. Can somebody please explain the best way forward with this - I plan to cancel before the free 12 months are up but can I refer my DH using the same Nectar card before I cancel mine ? And can I then re-apply a few months later ? I am VERY new to this and would appreciate some guidance.
I cannot see a recommend option on my Nectar but it may just be my Gold is messing up the settings.
You qualify for new customer offers after 6 months. Remember the Nectar card has a £25 fee after the first year (someone can confirm but I think they may pro data refund if you cancel - remember you will need to still have the card to get the referral bonus if there is one). Someone explained the other day about referring partners at 6 months then cancelling yours and using a supplementary card on their account, so effectively you are flipping the offer between you and your partner.
I need to look into this as we have two Nectar accounts running (no fee from an offer years ago), but it seems sensible to keep flipping for the bonus as cancelling each year won’t attract the fee anyway! And with double up it could be worth even more each year.
I read on another forum some doing this with the Gold, but also going just beyond the year to trigger the 10k bonus then cancelling and getting the pro-rate annual fee refund (if I read it right they got the free lounge passes too for the second year due to how they timed it!).
It seems there are a number of tricks available that I need to learn.

And I also got one of the free bottles of Coke so I managed to get sandwich two bottles of Coke and a Packet of Crisps all for a net layout of 50p. That's lunch sorted for a few weeks.
Wow. I dictated this to my phone, quick and only a few mistakes AND atrocious grammar lol.
