I cannot see a recommend option on my Nectar but it may just be my Gold is messing up the settings.
You qualify for new customer offers after 6 months. Remember the Nectar card has a £25 fee after the first year (someone can confirm but I think they may pro data refund if you cancel - remember you will need to still have the card to get the referral bonus if there is one). Someone explained the other day about referring partners at 6 months then cancelling yours and using a supplementary card on their account, so effectively you are flipping the offer between you and your partner.
I need to look into this as we have two Nectar accounts running (no fee from an offer years ago), but it seems sensible to keep flipping for the bonus as cancelling each year won’t attract the fee anyway! And with double up it could be worth even more each year.
I read on another forum some doing this with the Gold, but also going just beyond the year to trigger the 10k bonus then cancelling and getting the pro-rate annual fee refund (if I read it right they got the free lounge passes too for the second year due to how they timed it!).
It seems there are a number of tricks available that I need to learn.

Thank you - you are much further along the learning curve than me ! Perhaps I will just cancel and then renew 6 months later without doing the referral. Thanks for your help.ELITE 5:2

I’m getting excited here, do you know each other I wonder. I was only a toddler when we moved to Forest Hall but still owned The Blue Sign garage on the Coast Road over from the Rising Sun.There's no place like home

Well we had our seaside walk which was bracing:) Then we ventured into Aldi which was super civilised. I got my cream, bread and milk and fought hard the temptation to start putting extras in my basket.....you know how it is.....hmmmmm.......do we have enough butter etc and before you know it you’ve spent 20 quid:o
Back home now to bake.
Might just partake of some Christmas Choons and a port:D

my dessert is the same as it is every year. Trifle with blancmange instead of custard. Takes me three days to make it but it's what my lovely nan used to do and we've carried it on
I love a proper trifle, it does take longer to make but it’s worth it isn’t it xxThere's no place like home
