Thank you - hope it goes through as just sounds like a misread not a rejection.

What did the receipt say please? I assume it says the same for all flavours?

It said kettle. Mine have now been all rejected

Well on the plus side I have solved the problem of the unboxed set of glasses :j

So firstly I went into Home Bargains but they had no cellophane so then I tried B & M - still nothing. Then I had the bright idea of going to The Works and the girl I asked sucked her teeth and shook her head and said they didn't have much left but she took me to the right section anyway. And there she showed me packs of 2 sheets with silver stars on them, 2 meters of silver ribbon and 2 silver stars - £1 absolutely perfect :T

Then we trawled back to Home Bargains to get the turkey tray as a holder but just out of chance I had a look on the household section and found a round silver stainless steel tray with swirls on it £1.99, very nice looking and again absolutely perfect.

So the glasses are all still bubble wrapped so they fitted nicely on their sides lying down and the cellophane went on without a fight :T

I am now officially fully wrapped :j

Well I've gritted my teeth and paid the coal bill - 20 bags of coal and also the window cleaner. Then I paid the final invoice for next years expedition. I also got brave and had a look at how much the 2 garage bills are OH paid this week

On the plus side one of my regular savers matured today -most of it already spent as it will go towards paying for the massive December credit card bill.
A years saving and only £34 in interest :(

I managed to get OH home early enough today so we got the bit of shopping done but as soon as he got home they rang for him again so he has had to go back into work yet again

But I have sole use of him then for 3 days if and when he ever does finish work :)

A wasp has just joined me flying around the front window - no idea why it is still alive and active

What size bags and how long does 20 bags last? Need to see how we are doing in comparison :D

It's a long time since we've had a coal fire.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Please don't say that, I still have to get rid of the wasps nest currently residing in my compost bin

I have a beekeepers hat coming from Ebay via China and am hoping I will be able to do it on a really cold day, know you should do it at night but I need to be able to see what I am doing, it is somewhere in the compost bin, I know roughly where but cannot see it without opening up the bin and potentially disturbing the nest, not going to do that without the hat!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
