    Good Morning :hello:

Today me and our Poppy will be off to the vets.
She's due her doggy MOT and boosters.

    What are boosters for ?

My other 2 girls never had them and they where never ill .

    Tweets,

When I got Charlie, my rescue spaniel, he got his booster and didn't seem to feel very well afterwards. So I read up a bit on dog vaccinations, and as Westie said, it seems young dogs need them to guard against parvovirus etc, but older dogs carry the immunity. So Charlie never had a booster again!

Vets of course, argue that it's better to get them. :rotfl:

Thank you Westie will do :)

I am going to have a word with vet and ask her.

Apparently annual check ups and "booster" vaccines account for about a third of a vets income..... so take what they say with a pinch of salt. Even though he won his case, a compromise followed (too much money too lose) of boosters every three years. This still causes harm to the pet.

Bub had his puppy vaccines and never been back since, same with Molly. Any cats we had hardly had any visits to the vets an all of them lived to good ages! Less interfering the better, I say.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Will see what she says lol. Trouble is Poppy struggles with anal glands and need them cleaning regular so need vets for that . Today will be having them done.

I had to have my 2 cats vaccinated due to them going in catteries when I went on holiday or they couldn't go.

My other 2 dogs never had them and where fine,

I will update on what vet says but will take with a pinch of salt this may be last year she gets boosters.

. Just the glands worry and going vets and they start with doing other stuff.

This happened to me last year.

    What split is fridge/freezer?

Have you checked out https://www.offeroftheday.co.uk or currys ebay ?

Short term solution to save food ... do you have any local charity shops that sell electrical items nearby ?

It's a 50/50 split, but so tall I have to stand on stepladder to reach top shelf. It stands in a space that once upon a time was a pantry.
Have tried your website suggestions, thanks, but nothing suitable.

Spent all afternoon playing freezer tetris, removing all the less valuable stuff from Mum's outside freezer and my freezers, in order to put the more expensive stuff from the broken one in - what a job

This is going to severely limit my whoopsie purchases on Christmas Eve and New Year, as usually do fairly well :(

Thanks for all your suggestions, especially zippy.
Only ordered her a new washing machine yesterday morning as that is on the blink :( And she had to have a complete new roof 3 months ago.
Never mind what I need to replace in my house, including boiler and larger radiators plus sofits/bargeboads/gutters and new windows for whole house.

Just had one quote for windows and sofits etc, over 25K- told then no way and not to even bother trying to negotiate. Must have taken me seriously because haven't heard from them since :p

As for your windows - I would suggest going to a small local company, that's what we did and it was the cheapest quote we got and they were willing to do little things with the windows that the bit ones were not.

That Sister off to have the first treatment ♥

    :D:D:D

I'm off to try & find some nik nak for Fourp :o

I was holding my breath for this one, lets hope she follows it all through now :T:T

If you want something really funny for Fourp, Primark do eyebrow trimming scissors for £1, they are like scissors with a tiny comb attached, OH is always complaining about his long eyebrow hairs :rotfl::rotfl:
