This happened to me last year.
What split is fridge/freezer?
Have you checked out https://www.offeroftheday.co.uk or currys ebay ?
Short term solution to save food ... do you have any local charity shops that sell electrical items nearby ?
It's a 50/50 split, but so tall I have to stand on stepladder to reach top shelf. It stands in a space that once upon a time was a pantry.
Have tried your website suggestions, thanks, but nothing suitable.
Spent all afternoon playing freezer tetris, removing all the less valuable stuff from Mum's outside freezer and my freezers, in order to put the more expensive stuff from the broken one in - what a job
This is going to severely limit my whoopsie purchases on Christmas Eve and New Year, as usually do fairly well
Thanks for all your suggestions, especially zippy.
Only ordered her a new washing machine yesterday morning as that is on the blinkAnd she had to have a complete new roof 3 months ago.
Never mind what I need to replace in my house, including boiler and larger radiators plus sofits/bargeboads/gutters and new windows for whole house.
Just had one quote for windows and sofits etc, over 25K- told then no way and not to even bother trying to negotiate. Must have taken me seriously because haven't heard from them since0 -

That's because mbuy is showing on a.com on Batchelor's Cup A Soup High Protein:(. I didn't mention anything about High Protein - I only mentioned plain "Cup A Soup", and Slim A Soup if they are in the mbuy instore. I am sorry my attempt at being specific has led to a miscommunication again.
However... does the 1Kg Onions pack compare against M? That is to see if it stands any chance of picking up the M mbuy price - just about one of the few good items in that offer now that most of the other items have gone cheaper elsewhere. I am disappointed in A - no 20p potatoes at all but instead White Potatoes stuck on £1.15 and forcing us to try APG and buy a further seven items rather than just buying them for a few pence outright. For the sake of 3p off T, probably best just to have 1p off by buying Maris Piper in Aldi. The only items in A it seems could work out any better than elsewhere require trying to use the APG: the White Potatoes vs T and the Cauliflower vs T, nothing at A's own prices, whilst all the items on A's own price at 20p seem to be beaten by Aldi on 19p (and Aldi gets 100g more parsnips). There are possible attempts vs M, not for Northern Ireland in any event, if the mbuy gets picked up but Maris Piper Potatoes now cheaper in Aldi and just about only the Onions (if they even compare at all) and the Savoy Cabbage left, not even sure whether the Trimmed Leeks would compare against M as they seem extra-trimmed in A to me but maybe I am being too strict.0 -
That is as expected - they pick up 8 for [expensive price] offers, they don't pick up 10 for [cheaper price that we don't currently have in M]. The trouble is 8 for £4 is standard 50p each and is the price that Sains. has gone up to after coming off 35p. Plus the M mbuy means that one of them compares to M at full price:(. It's worse than 9 that compare against S vs S's straight 50p, and no good anymore to me now they are no longer 35p in S:rotfl:.
I don't do fillers, at least not ones that aren't better than free:D. Fillers are stuff that you have to buy just to get the APG - if that's being done, on non-glitch, you'd have to need the fillers in their own right otherwise they are being paid for at just 10% off.
I am not sure about anything much vs M at the moment (other than what's been ongoing) - M seems to be becoming so expensive in the week before Christmas, when everyone is shopping, it's probably better not to shop at all and shop only whenever anyone else is not doing so. There seems to be little change today though - and this may be my last collection of the year. Next week (obviously Wednesday only) doesn't fit in very well for me, so I might just not bother that week - I probably will end up going to some limited stores though as I end up going anyway. I have done a proper range of stores yesterday, but not much has changed anyway (probably ready to change everything next week when I have limited ability to check:rotfl:). I might just be back in the New Year - so, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!:)
I think someone was under the impression that the Linda McCartney Red Onion & Rosemary Sausages ought to compare against M at £1, but the M comp. was £1.97 which, as far as I am aware, is the price that they were last week in M. I had a brief wonder when I saw that a few days ago why the item would be thought to have M at £1. I had M at £1.97.
I returned from a set of Ms this afternoon, which had ended with me still having M at £1.97. Then I saw the £1 on msm and thought that I might have missed the item in my stores, as I did not see £1 for it anywhere. However, I have been able to do a further check. £1 is *not* the price instore. The product is £1.97 instore yesterday, at least in the store where I have scanned it and that is the reason that the only SELs I have seen are full price. It therefore seems to stand virtually no chance of picking up anything except £1.97 for M.
I have managed to find some items that msm alerted me to that I didn't think I would have. I wasn't sure about the Elite Shtix though, that it has at 30p - but typically I have managed to find the wrong colour one that is £1.50. So good luck with that one.
The Old Rosie Cider that was £13(?), that we were happy with, but then went to £10 is now £8. Not sure I am still happy about the earlier pricing as it now seems overcharged by more now M have put the price further down. Typically as well - it's not actually "typical" but sometimes I just don't manage to stop until items are their lowest price - if I ever wait for a cheaper price, the products will go back up and never be as low again - the Jacobsen's biscuits emoji tin - was on my list at £1.50:eek::eek: a couple of weeks ago. It then went to £1, which I still should really not have had on the list at all, as it has now gone to 75p. 50p next week maybe:think::rotfl:. We really should not be buying anything remotely Christmas-related at this time. I may make an exception for some glitchy gift sets though:D.
I am losing, or nearly losing, items again though - although I have also got the Cadbury Party Mix back, making an appearance for me for the first time in many weeks:huh: (probably no chance at all of comparing:rotfl:). It seems to have remained constantly at £3 like my list has had it and will continue to have. I have no SEL btw (I had to have it scanned as I had not seen it for so long - I assume that it has been in collection stores constantly but rarely ever at my stores:rotfl:). With many people shopping, like elsewhere, in M, some of the Christmas items people are obviously, unsurprisingly, buying are running low on stock or disappearing in some places for me entirely - it took me some time to find the large selection boxes this time. Last week I was having a problem with the Jacob's Savoury Favourites that you would not be aware of, from my very few stores, but I did manage to find trace of them and I have them back in stock now. Items should still work, because a good range of stores will be likely to find them somewhere, but maybe just the chance of the odd one or two not being found anywhere, items at random, from the collection stores.
I am still refusing to remove the kitchen clearance items, many of them saying 30p RTC, from my list even though almost no-one will have any of them but someone will probably have a maximum of a handful of them and, probably, at best, just one of the items out of the long list (that may still be incomplete as it is based on only what I saw). I have considered moving them to the very end of the list, as items that (I suspect) very few people will have any of. I think one store in the country may have one of the items, another single store somewhere will have another of them, another single store... so, every one of them is in one store in the land, most places have nothing, and the one store is a different one for each item now as it just happens to be what was unsold and just got lost somewhere and has been found only now, or has been at the back of an RTC shelf that no-one has ever seen or bought from etc. They (one random item of them more likely, and quite unlikely indeed) could appear on clipstrips anywhere in a store at any time or one item could be put into the main kitchen aisle that has just turned up and stands out briefly amongst everything else that is now the new range at much more expensive price. I am still not removing any of them, as someone, at some time, could still have (more likely) one of them and not more - and, indeed, last week I did find one of the RTC kitchen items in one of my stores, just appearing at random, for a single occasion, many weeks later. Similarly, I still see Hallowe'en items from time to time, not very often, but they are sometimes on an RTC shelf - one of them at random, usually nothing more these days - they are largely gone but stock of each of them, one unit or not much more, may remain somewhere in the country - I do, even now, have the rare single sighting of one item, not a specific one but one at random, as I suggest, not very often now but largely gone. I am therefore refusing to delete anything as I think someone, from time to time, will have something. And then someone else will, in a rare store, when the other person doesn't.
So, to those that see the long list of kitchen items at RTC on the list and "I have none of these, they are gone" - yes, each of them is unlikely to be found now (but unlikely things happen all the time!), they are largely gone and probably the most anyone will have (I remain to be surprised by someone saying they have a whole range still around, or now suddenly around) is one item that just happened to have been unsold from time to time and most people will have nothing and many people, the vast majority of the time, will have nothing as well now. I doubt you will be able to go for a specific item and find it: if you find anything at all, and it's very unlikely you will, unless somehow you already have them remaining in a largely unviewed part of your M and already know they are there remaining unsold week after week, you will find some other item instead. Extremely most likely, you will find nothing.
Same with the old versions of the stationery items that were (are) RTC. I haven't seen any of these items recently - I think one store somewhere will now have one of them.0 -
Where's this coming from? https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/asda-vegetables-10p-tomorrow-thursday-21st-dec-2860500 Don't say "Hot UK Deals" - I mean the source that the OP has got the information from. Given that I have seen no 20p potatoes and online still has £1.15... Still showing 20p on the veg. on a.com. We shall see.0
