Well I am a new student...not doing the same course as you...but I've been keeping a close eye on ebay if that helps? ;)

Hi. I sold loads of my PGCE books on eBay and got a lot more back than I would have by selling via the bookshop at Uni (Winchetser).

I listed them in early September so that newbies with booklists would be able to find them easily.

As most degree courses start a bit later than PGCEs I think you are likely to find buyers for some of your books on eBay, even now. Worth checking to see whether there are any free/half-price listing offers in the pipeline before you put them on!

    Good luck!!!

  • i just sold a uni book from 2000 on amazon and it sold in less than 2 hours for £10. amazon is better for smaller / lighter books though as the buyer only pays £2.75 postage
  • Most of the books I have are fairly heavy

In fact i have just checked with royal mail and it would cost £7.50 to send one of the books just in basic post

Definately don't use Amazon then, most of your profit would go straight onto the extra postage costs. They should really work on that a bit, they'd get alot more sellers.

Being a new student myself I tend to check the department's notice boards, especially the first year board, and like the others have said, ebay. Have a look if there's a free listing day coming up :)
