Try and see if you can run these by themselves and see how much the meter shows.

For not a lot of money you can buy one of these and check out the consumption of all your appliances to see how much they are using - you might be surprised at how greedy an american style fridge freezer can be.

what about this then? Gives you real-time info and allows you to monitor consumption remotely - it's a bargain at only £20 https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/efergy-engage-hub-kit-n67nw

I've been using something similar for several years and it allows me to keep track of my consumption.

It could be a faulty appliance causing the problem.

If any faulty appliance was the cause of such high consumption, it would melt!

Ok so after turning everything off yesterday I forgot to turn one of the freezers back on, it’s quite an old chest freezer, this was off for 6 hours yesterday, I took a reading this morning and have used 5 kWh less, nothing else was different yesterday so does this look like my freezer is the problem? I’m leaving it off now!

After changing my old chest freezer it’s reduced my daily usage from around 32kwh to 23kwh, any ideas how to reduce it more? We have 2 security lights that come on quite a bit but other than that I can’t think what’s using it compared to what others use.

That 9 units is over a £1 a day - nearly £400 in the year. ( a quarter of your electricity bill) Really shows the benefit of replacing old energy hungry units..

Have you the consumption for your American Style fridge/freezer ?
