    I would like to be able to post the 6 page Word 97/2000 document that I compiled when I had my first Hudl2. There is a lot of information that would help Hudl users. How could I post this?

    Upload it to a file host, such as Google Drive. Then copy and paste the sharing link produced.

    My fault that I didn't point out that you need to make it shareable to the public;

    Robisere;

    Click on; https://support.google.com/docs/answer/2494822

    and once open, scroll down and click on 'Share a file publicly'.
  • I factory reset, and you need to remember to make it install as a new device.

    How do I do that?

    Not done it on a Hudl but a phone so could beslightly different.

    Once the factory reset is donw it will boot up and your asked if you want to restore the backup or do a fresh install, something along them lines.

    I can't even get that far.

    When it boots up, it says "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.", but when I click OK, the same message pops up a few seconds later, before I have time to do anything else. :mad:

    Use two thumbs, one hovering in position ready to dismiss that, the other to gradually work towards where you are going.

    Menu > Settings > Apps > (scroll right to) All > (scroll down to) Google Play Services > Manage Space > Clear All Data.

    Yes it's tedious, involving lots of tiny scroll movements before interrupted again, but you can eventually get there.

    Then you'll get a couple of account based initial set-up messages like set the backup account. Google Play Services seems to rebuild its data automatically, but if not maybe use Google Play to update it.

    I've had this issue 3 or 4 times, and done it just now for practice. Tesco tech support were no help originally, and wrongly but usefully blamed Google. Someone at Google support talked me through this.

    About 3 years ago I saw a Hudl for sale on eBay with this problem. I sent a message to say you can fix this and withdraw it from sale, gave instructions. No reply, and it went for £25 with only one bid.
