Everything seems to be working normally again.
This is MSE. £25 for something you could have done yourself for free! Hardly a bargain.0 -
I've come across similar problems with android, it's a PITA when it happens, and unless you have a suitable source file you can't always fix it yourself... just sayin'......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
All depends upon knowing how to and where to source the OS .0

I could've spent hours faffing about with it, and still not got there.
At least this way it's done.0 -
Just buy a new tablet! The iPad 2017 (although it is £340) is a great choice!!0

There's nothing wrong with the Hudl, beyond a messed up OS, which has now been fixed.
Would you replace your PC/laptop, just because its copy of Windows was messed up?
For the price (£99), it's a great bit of kit.
I've had it for almost 2.5 years and, aside from the recent OS problem, it's be pretty reliable, so I have no real complaints about it.0 -
I've had this problem too with a Lollipop hudl2 which a friend gave me (I now have 3, love them). I factory reset, and you need to remember to make it install as a new device. The main issue/cause of problem seemed to be updating apps. I am experimenting with no updates (most of them are pretty vestigial or cosmetic), and I've taken a view on what apps are necessary and what are not. One app which affected things seemed to be the Air Traffic app, because it demanded an Google Play services update to work. Beware. I haven't done real data checking, but I'll keep going and I'll keep reinstalling until I get this beaten.0

I would like to be able to post the 6 page Word 97/2000 document that I compiled when I had my first Hudl2. There is a lot of information that would help Hudl users. How could I post this?I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Something wrong with just copying and pasting the text into a post? Does it contain pictures? Are they necessary?0
