Ryanair new seating trick

Recently flew on Ryanair, checked in my self and girlfriend for free on both journeys and they have started splitting people who are coupled. Obviously to encourage you to pay for designated seats, as on the outbound flight there were a number of couples split, but a fair few spare seats on setting off.

Be thankful that your flight wasn't cancelled.0

I don’t believe they deliberately split up couples for no reason. You’re seeing more in this then there is0

Yes they are. Unfortunately people are idiots and like to see conspiracy in everything.
There is no conspiracy, people who pay for seats choose aisles or window seats (nobody wants to sit in the middle). Therefore if you don’t pay for a seat allocation you’ll probably get a middle seat as many of these will be spare.
Believing that Ryanair decide to deliberately split up a couple when there is no need to is just paranoid claptrap.
If this was true it would have been leaked to the press by ex Ryanair employees.0 -

So by your logic all of the paid for seats are by passengers travelling alone or by couples trying the old 'leave a seat in the middle' trick? Really?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

So you also believe that Ryanair deliberately split up couples for the craic?
