You should be able to delete or move virtually any app with Apps2SD.0 -
if its photos and videos taking up space install google photos app, it will then safely backup your photos and videos to the cloud freeing up space on you phone0

can you please mention your brand?0

You could turn off automatic updates in your google account.
Then if you need one updated, you have to physically go into your google account thing on play store and tell it to do so.
You can also restore some apps to factory install if you don't use em but cant remove them, for example maps by going into settings/ apps and clicking the button to do so.
If you have installed apps that ARE uninstallable and don't rely on any saved info , you can delete them using settings/ apps and just go back into your google account on play-store, scroll through your apps list (not just those that are installed already) and click on the one you want to reinstall. You don't lose any of them , the google account thing remembers you bought them or downloaded them before. You just have to re input any info you had in them previously(log ins etc).0 -

Do you have SD card as default storage?
I use Avast Cleanup daily.
I'd recommend, if you haven't already, going through each and every App on your phone to uninstall those which are junk that came with the phone or those that you simply don't need.
The only Google Play services I use are for apps, so I've disabled books/movies/music. This uninstalls updates since it was loaded onto the phone by manufacturer which frees up space.
I also every few weeks go through every individual app and delete what data I can (I appreciate you've mentioned this). Apps I've downloaded and system.
You mentioned Maps, that's one I clear data on with no issues. All it seems to do is wipe my history and location which is not a problem for me.
For Facebook I don't use the App itself but go onto the mobile website via browser.0 -
Instead of using the Facebook app why not use the browser for Facebook, it would free up some space.0

Assuming you use Chrome browser,
Settings- Site Settings- Storage
Go through the (very long) list, tap on any sites which you don't visit often enough to warrant stored data, tap clear & reset.
Mine tends to take ages so I never aim to do it in one sitting.
Alternatively you can hit the "clear site storage" button at the bottom, it will nuke everything but is quick and can get rid of a lot.0 -

Thanks, some good ideas here. Some apps can only be disabled and some cant be moved to the sd card. Even those that can dont fully go across. I woud have to try the app someone suggested to deal with this i guess.0 -

I normally clear history. Does that remove everything?0
