    Hello!
Apologies I’ve been quiet, I’ve been so busy!
The graduation went brilliantly. It felt amazing to walk across that stage and meet the Chancellor (well in my case it was hobble slowly across- I was using my stick rather than my crutches and my legs were sore from all the standing/walking about) she likes to hear a little about our OU journeys so I told her I had completed my degree in 3 years while recovering from cancer. I started my degree while I was still very much recovering, things were still very difficult for me and my recovery wasn’t the easiest. I also made a big decision to take my wig off and have my photo taken and cross the stage without wearing it which was a huge step for me. The Chancellor told me I was inspiring and another lady came up afterwards and told me I was an inspiration. I don’t feel like one to be honest- I was just glad that I got there!
I enjoyed my couple of days off plan. On Wednesday we stopped at services and although I enjoyed a Costa Black Forest hot chocolate, I managed to resist the lure of Greggs and had some M&S sushi with my sandwiches. In the evening my partner and I went out for Nando’s and i enjoyed chicken wings, a butterfly burger and chips with garlic and herb peri peri sauce. I had a hoisin duck wrap and crisps for supper. I enjoyed my favourite bread and Nutella and a big cooked breakfast the next day, and for lunch I had ham sandwiches, crisps, and a gorgeous scone. Tea was a Chinese takeaway- chicken in gravy with rice.
I hadn’t been overly good on Monday or Tuesday either so by Friday I wasn’t surprised that my jeans were feeling tight! Back on plan 100% now.
    Today’s menu:
B: HEXB Alpen Light x 2, easy peeler, pear, decaf coffee with HEXA
L: Bacon, poached egg, tinned toms. 2 x toast with Laughing Cow (part HEXA and 5.5 syns for bread) Raspberries, blackberries, Light and Free yoghurt. Decaf coffee with HEXA.
    Snack: Kit Kat (5.5) water
T: Chicken (no skin) SW roast potatoes, cauliflower, turnip, cabbage, gravy (1 syn) Apple, water
S: 4 Crackerbreads (4) pease pudding, chicken, water
    Syns: 16
Hope all is well with everyone. Maman, hope you had a good holiday. The bra talk amused me- when I first lost weight I went from a 50A (although I was still wearing a 46C as allegedly 50A was a non-existent size) to a 40D. I was measured a couple of months ago and I’m a 42D. I tried the Boob or Bust method and it came out exactly the same. I don’t often wear ‘proper’ bras though, I prefer the soft cropped tops as wearing a structured bra for me is painful. However I’ve found one from Avon that’s amazingly comfy- I may consider getting some more!

Good stuff re weight loss, Sunshine. I actually like fruit and yogurt btw and that’s what I had for brekkie today.

I didnt have much to start with
That’s what set me on the way to weight ruin! I was a 32 AA until few years after my chidren were born. When I put weight on my boobs appeared, but then everything got out of control. Boobs stopped growing but everywhere else carried on, lol. I was 38B, I thought, but got measured in a proper bra shop and I am 36D! Pity about the rest of me.

    Great NSV, mary.

Sounds like you had a great break, maman.

It’s 2am and I want your dinner, bubbs!

Fantastic journey, Mrs_R, well done you.

Not sure how WI will go tomorrow/today. I’ve not been quite on plan, but I do feel great; so I’ll be happy whatever comes - unless it’s a mahoosive gain! I may start posting menus again.

Had a few days off plan and resting now, but I am feeling not too bad today. Not going to be a great day food wise, but I will try.

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - yogurt and fruit
Lunch/Snack - Cereal bars, SW quiche, fruit. At hospital, but planned appointment this time, so eating what I can when I can.
Dinner - chilli, already in the slow cooker

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - cereal bars
    Syns - there will be!
    Zebras rock
  • Morning all,

MRS R, thanks for telling us about your day. You must still be on a high. Well done indeed!!!!

ESMY, how funny we are the same weight and had the same starting weight. My signature is just a little bit out as I put on two lbs last week but I'm hoping to get that off asap. What is your target weight?? I'm aiming for eleven stone. When I did SW about 7 years ago I got down to ten stone five but I think I will reassess how I look and feel at eleven. I feel quite good now so I don't want to get too slim if you know what I mean. I'm large framed anyway with strong shoulders, big bust and bum but small waist. An hourglass shape, so at the minute I'm carrying weight quite well and feel quite good. My BMI reccommended weight (I'm 5 ft 6) makes me laugh as it ranges between 8 stone 3 and 11 stone 2. I could never be even close to the lowest number! I think BEANIE is also around our weight too. It is good to have others seeing the same numbers on the scales!

Wishing everyone a good day x

  • Morning everyone
    Loved your story Mrs R

I bought lovely 34H bras then fell pregnant almost straight away (I guess you could say they did their job) Was only able to wear then for about 6 weeks. Would love it if my boobs shrunk enough to wear them again.

Weigh in this morning was -3lbs just 1/2lb off stone and a half loss so really pleased.

    Todays plan
    Breakfast: overnight oats
    Lunch: pasta salad
Dinner: fried rice using up the bit of left over pork from yesterday.

Glad you've enjoyed your off plan days and your graduation Mrs R. Nothing worse than having extra syns and not enjoying them!

Glad you're feeling a bit better Kathryn. It's good you've got a pre-arranged appointment at the hospital as you have a more control over what you eat. Hospital food is so unhealthy!

Made a change to my menu plan today and will be having a Green day (I do like the extra HEA and HEB!).

B - mincemeat baked oats - HEB + 3. First time I've had baked oats and really enjoyed them. Will definitely do again but with different fruit or might even try carrot cake ones! Think it's Bubbs that has made them before but sure about that.
L - Syn free hummous; carrot sticks; cucumber sticks; pepper strips
D - Gardeners pie (from SW website). Another new to me recipe.

    HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese (will add to the top of the pie even though it isn't in the recipe!)
    HEB1 - porridge
    HEB2 - Alpen Lights
    Syns - mincemeat 3

    Denise
