Ugh. A quick piece of advice please fellows eBay sellers... I got a message from a buyer after one of my auctions sold and received payment to say that they purchased it as a gift but the person didn't want it. They know they bought it and so have to pay, but want it sent to their address rather than the gift address.

I know that this isn't the one in PayPal and so I would have no protection. Either I could ask them to change the address and repay or I could cancel the transaction. It's a bit annoying as I purposely put it on to end now as I know it's a great time for Xmas sales and don't really want to resell. Thoughts?

    Evening all

Sorry to read some of you having probs with sprogs. If it's any consolation it does get better - honest. My eldest was very much like yours Jess and I breastfed until he was just over a year old - he seemed then to develop more interest in food - but still woke every night, at least once, until my second was born when he was two. Don't think he could compete :rotfl:

Three things I found helped was a baby sling, a bouncy chair I tied onto the kitchen bunkers and one of those bouncy, hanging thingies. I think all littlies are a pain in the b** at some time - if not early then when they reach the twos. At least mine got it all out of their system in the early days.

Maybe you can have a punt around for a local Mums and babies group. You would get a bit of company, get out the house and maybe find an occasional babysitter on a swopsy basis.

I have £5.50 to add from the weekend's regular scans and some surveys

Hope you all have a money-making Monday

that doesn't make sense to me Jess. If they were buying for a present, then surely it would be their address on paypal? Not the person who they are buying for as a gift?

Personally it sounds suss. Cancel the order and tell them to change the address on paypal and get it verified then buy from you.

Sadly no.. they are a couple of hours away and hubbie's parents are an hour away... I can honestly say I am on my own in this. Hubby doesn't spend enough time with him (priority = hubbie first and baby second for him) and so baby only ever wants me, which makes things worse :( He is an absolutely lovely happy little baby, but I need some space before I go crazy! Doesn't help he refuses to stop breastfeeding... off to a clinic for some help on that as unfortunately it is now having a bad affect on my health as opposed to just my mental sanity...

Trying to find something to look forward to, to focus my mind, but struggling right now. As I was unexpectedly paid a bonus for not working this year (!), I am thinking of spending a bit of money on myself to cheer myself up.

TBH I am at the end of my tether with it all and not sure what to do. I feel very alone and don't really know many people where I live (my good friends all emigrated). I try to get out and about, but it can be difficult to find the time to do that when I also do everything in the house, hampered by a baby. Yes... I know I should speak to hubbie, but I really don't know how and I am annoyed that he never seems to understand and carries on with his relatively carefree existence.

You absolutely have to spend that bonus on yourself! Everyone's right it does get better, or at least different so the problems become less physically clingy, more headspace. Can you just go out when hubbie gets home and 'forget' your phone? Unfortunately it sounds like he,won't understand without some kind of short, sharp shock and full immersion in what you're facing. You could go for a long walk, go to the salon, go shopping, whatever floats your boat.

I know exactly how you feel Queenjess! My youngest turned one last week and has always refused a bottle or milk of any kind unless I feed her. She is starting to feed less but it’s tough having to do it all yourself.
My OH sounds like yours too. Quite happy to take the 4year old but unless I’m working he’s not keen to have Baby because it’s hard work. Our families are also an hour away, my parents tho are happy to help when they can but you miss just getting an hour to get the house tidied!
I havd a lovely weekend this weekend because my Mum came to stay so we got to go out for dinner child-free (the first since my birthday last August!) and I got to do some Christmas shopping too.
    Hope it gets better!xx

Thanks Aesop. To be fair, their explanation did seem to stack up - or maybe I prefer to think most people are honest?!! He said he bought it for his daughter but she didn't want it and he was going to post it straight to her. Anyway, he has agreed to repay with the right address.. so we shall see as actually this went for a much higher value than I thought.
