Hi. Have you had any updates as yet with the claim?
We’ve heard nothing although the dwp received the assessors report a week ago, and we requested it on 1st nov, still not received no copy or decision. Last time I phoned was Monday, and they said copy hasnt been sent out to us yet and that they will put on a message again.
I would ring again and make sure it's been sent. All they have to is click a button and send it out to you while you're on the phone. They've recieved the report, no need for another message on the computer.

My daughters report is still in audit, have had no reason's to what's wrong. All i'm hoping for is that's it's a good thing. Good luck with yours.
  • Had the confirmation letter through, standard care higher mobility for 2.5 years. Odd as the report suggested I was given it for one year but I'm not complaining!

great news, well done. Sometimes they do go against the report, for you that's a good thing. Relax now, it's over.
  • We still dont have a copy of the report, but I telephoned on Friday and was told that the decision is being made on the day and to call back on Monday morning so they can tell me what the decision is.
Awarded standard care and enhanced mobility for 3 years
Although a relieve (after reading a lot of horror stories) still a little disappointing as mum was on higher rate care and higher mobility for DLA, which is a total loss of just over £100 per month :-(

This dropping the care rate to standard seems to be a pattern developing on renewal of PIP claims and those transferring from DLA...I wonder if this is down to some unwritten directive somewhere....

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

You can of course go down the MR route but you do risk losing everything you already have. They will look at the whole award again not just the Daily living part. Of course the award could also increase or stay the same as mostly it does with MR. If you do choose this route then expect to have to take it to Tribunal, those that appear at their hearing have the best chance of success. It's a very long process. Good luck on what ever you decide.

Thanks Poppy, and thank you for all your advice over the past few weeks. You've been really helpful and I'm sure it would not have gone nearly as well without your advice especially around the medical reports. Thank you.

PS Any news on your daughter yet?

    Thank you Poppy.
We are grateful for what we got and probably will just leave it at that.
I do hope that you hear some good news soon too.
    :)

I don't blame you. I would do exactly the same. Thank you. Today's update after ringing....assessment report still in audit, 4 weeks after her assessment.:mad:
