DBS Check?
Comments
-
Just got an email on behalf of the company to fill in an online form for the DBS check.
All filled in and submitted so hopefully the ball will start rolling now.
They already have my documents at there end so now all I do is sit and wait?0 -
Yeah. If you're doing it online it will probably be a lot quicker. Plus you haven't got school staff too so there shouldn't be a big backlog:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

OP mine took about a week after submitting the online form (also West Yorkshire) HTH0

Happy to announce I got the job in the care home!!!
Had to take some ID in on Saturday to get the DBS check started and was told it would be sent off on Monday.
Since I can’t start til my DBS check comes back I was wondering how long these take?
I know it will come back all clear as I’ve never had any trouble
Thanks guys
The wife had one done about 6 weeks ago(enhanced DBS as she's a nurse) and that took about 10 days to process.
I'm waiting for one to be done by the MoJ but it looks like they've not lodged the forms yet.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -

The later ones have been via this service though. She's changed her job a couple of times this year, and returned to her original job - she found that the grass isn't always greener

An employer DBS can be added to the volunteering DBS on the update service - it will let you. It's only supposed to be used for volunteering ones on the free update service but it still allows it to be added (or it did until not too long ago).I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. Just checked on my DBS and it’s currently at stage 4
Seems to have gone through 1 to 3 fast0 -
The tracking for DBS says at bottom
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please wait for the Certificate before making a recruitment, employment or licensing decision regarding this applicant. The issuing of a Certificate by the DBS does not mean that the applicant is deemed suitable to take up the position applied for. A decision on suitability can only be made by the recruiting or licensing body based on the information revealed as a result of the Certificate and other factors.
What could this be?
I’ve never been in trouble for anything0 -
It's a standard clause for everybody, I imagine.0

A clean certificate has the words 'none recorded' or 'not requested' against each category.
Otherwise it'll give details of whats held.
Either way, they'll want to see the certificate.0
