  • Email from post office today advising direct debit deposits will no longer be accepted from 1st march 2022 while all existing direct debits will be cancelled.
This thread title needs to be changed to ' Companies which will be ditching DDs in the near future'

Remember each account adds two direct debits though

Are you saying savers can get two direct debit mandates from each Ecology account - how does that work?
    God save the King!
I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.
  • QQ on Moneybox

Moneybox restricts individual to a single linked bank account but allows multiple savings accounts (Simple, 90 day & 120 day).

Given the financial institution behind these savings accounts differ do they appear / count as separate different DDs or the same (i.e. originate from Moneybox)?

    TIA

DD taken only from one bank. You cannot connect different banks to your DDs connected to different accounts in Moneybox

    Thanks @Ghostcrawler

For clarity, I mean .. if I linked to a single current account but opened a Simple & a 90 Day account would they be 2 separate DDs as they appear to be through different financial institutions via Moneybox

2 separate DDs that count towards any requirement

    TIA

Moneybox is one DD mandate  All deposits (weekly, monthly, one offs) are taken on the same day in one go and then distributed to the different moneybox pots/accounts.

You can have a DD paid weekly which works for co op rewards, Barclays blue, RBS/NatWest rewards as they require a number of DDs to be paid each month but do not stipulate they need to be different DD mandates.

I've had mine today, good whilst it lasted.  at least they've given a decent timeline for warning customers.
