Just back from the road trip and poured myself a large glass of SB, don’t feel that tea covers it!

We’ve had a lovely day really, the sun mostly shone and DM’s visitor thoroughly enjoyed the Hill House tour. We stopped at Luss and Loch Lomond on the way back for refreshments. My wine is needed as I’ve spent the whole time having the Swabian turning to talk to my DM who was in the back seat, my head is swimming! Need some peace and quiet now though I’m not sure how much I’ll get.

JackieO - another one here sending good wishes for a good passing for Frank. You’re doing a grand job keeping the family together and calm.

    Off to drink!
  • I have just come up for air after a stupid day! Cleaning all morning, quick lunch then off shopping followed by a detour to Sainsbob's pharmacy to collect my supplies. Back home to put all shopping away, then unpack my medication. Aaaargh one item not there so car back out and off back to Sainsbobs. After an inquest they decided it was their fault as the item had been out of stock when my bag was made up. I should have had an owing slip! Meanwhile the item was back in stock so they graciously gave it to me. Confused? So was I!!

The customary Thursday Bolognese Bake has been thrown together in among the to-ing and fro-ing and will go in the oven shortly, with some garlic bread, to be ready when the 3 DGDs arrive after swimming. I am shattered and just enjoying a quick strong coffee pick me up. I would prefer something a bit stronger but will leave that till the girls are in bed!

NELSKI the meat man isn't there on a Wednesday. I think it is just on a Saturday that he is there with his megaphone shouting out his offers to the passing shoppers!

JACKIE poor Frank, I hope they can keep his last days pain-free. Hope all goes well for your DD tomorrow too.

No rest for the wicked. Coffee cup drained so off to set the table and sort out a veggie meal for DD. Have a nice evening folks if you can xx

my friend keeps in touch with her grandchild like this, she is hoping that when he gets bigger he will do it himself but he's only small at the moment, but a good way to stay in touch when she isn't allowed to actually have him to stay

We FaceTime, it's iPad/phone system, with our grandchildren a lots, as ther abroad. It's amazing. Also with our son who lives abroad. You can see if you have a missed call and don't need to log on etc

    Thank you
My phone is very basic, not a smartphone.
I think I can Skype on my laptop, can't hurt to ask DS

Gers maybe the guest & your DM could sit in the back together if you take them out again?

I suggested that! But no. The guest is leaving tomorrow, I’m taking her to the airport and then heading straight home.

Wine drunk, eyes now closing. The other two are still talking. It’s been non-stop since we got back. I’m happy that DM is having a good time. And I’m happy that I don’t have to participate anymore!
