JackieO sending you many, many hugs to you and your family and I'm so sorry about the news regarding Frank.
I hope DD's op goes well tomorrow. Take care of yourself too as you seem to be the cement that is holding everyone together.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

Morning all,
Dark, muggy day here, had light on to read paper earlier, hate this kind of weather.....only bonus it is not cold, so comfortable in t shirt and trousers.
Nannywindow....thanks for reminding me that I have some chocolate oranges in the top of my wardrobe........will wait a little before I go find them!
For rhe first time in years I have a headache today........think that I will close my eyes and relax for a while.
Dinner tonight will be either stirfried pork with veg and rice or couscous or hangar steaks that I bought the other day, will freeze whichever I dont use.
Have done one wash which will have to go on airers.....two bedrooms vacant for weekend so can spread things out.
Off to deal with headache, love to all.

JackieO
I had no idea the time scale was so short and I am so sorry. Hope the family get back soon and can be there for him and for each other.
Youngest phoned me this morning saying she got off the train at 12.15 and when was the next bus so I did not expect her till about 1.30 so when there was a knock at the door about 12.40 I got the shock of my life to see her standing there :j Fortunately I had hoovered, and tidied as her friend arrived fifteen minutes later so they are now relaxing and watching tv. No idea if they are staying for tea but will be here overnight so have defrosted some mince, sausages and bacon and will pop out later for more eggs and veg etc.
Made a BLT for lunch and might make fish and chips tonight if they fancy the idea.
Enjoy the virtual spa day and hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

JackieO (((HUGS))) I am so sorry hun; hoping that Frank stays pain-free for however long he has.
I am having a quiet day as I overdid it yet again yesterday; I mean - continuing to weed the garden til I'm too weak and exhausted to get the trowel into the earth any more was a good idea, yes?
And then we had Mr LW's pal over in the evening; which is always stressful for me, specially with no dog here as a distraction.
So it's rest if I can, and gather my wits ready for little Fudge's arrival tomorrow morning. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

quite a while ago ( i think it was you) you were having trouble keeping in touch with your grandson, and i had a thought, would it be possible to "FaceTime or Skype" to keep in touch? if he's too small now maybe in the future it might work? if he's not old enough maybe you could suggest it to your son to help?
Thank you
Haven't heard of FaceTime or Skype but will definetely look into itIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
my friend keeps in touch with her grandchild like this, she is hoping that when he gets bigger he will do it himself but he's only small at the moment, but a good way to stay in touch when she isn't allowed to actually have him to stay
i'm not clued up but i think FaceTime is on your phone and Skype is desktop0 -
Afternoon all
the sun is shining here after a murky day. We have had a day full of DD and DGS.....DH took them to soft play this morning and then they called into ASD* for some shopping. Back to us for lunch and an afternoon of activities. They went home about 4pm and I have been slumped in the chair. DH came back and tidied the kitchen -I'd already done it twice today.
Tea is sausage casserole with new potatoes and green beans. DH still needs soft food after an unexpected tooth extraction on Tuesday after a filling dropped out at the end of last week. Have read through and can't remember much sorry.
Jackie O hope your DD's operation goes well.
Enjoy your spa time Tru. What a lovely idea.
Well have a good evening folks.
