Morning
Sales day today which no doubt will involve me looking for lots of distractions
dishwasher needs to go on soon and a bedding wash to do....that should keep me busy for a little while oh and the man in the asda van is due in a bit
Must focus though need to fill some gaps in my diary before christmas as its always a dead time in dec/jan for me.
TA love skipton such a lovely town and a great market. Was the meat man there with all his special deals? I could never resist and always end up with far too much (not very MSE:o )
Right must crack on (push me out the door please)

Morning all, sorry it's not a "Good" morning as the weather is dreadful.
DGC fed and taken to school, got soaked again ! Both are under the weather this morning so it's a good job it's the last day tomorrow, then they are on half term. I think they need to recharge their batteries.
Popped into village chemist to collect Dads medication on the way home, as he's coming to tea later.
Have a lot of "bits and bobs " to do this morning, like sort through the ironing basket, as all the dry washing has been dumped in there. I'm hoping to get the ironing down to a few T shirts.
Mr Fix It is cooking today, he does a mean faggots and peas so I shall be the sous chef and chop the onions. ( and probably have to clean up after him) The DGC didn't eat all the pancakes this morning so we might have those with ice cream, for dessert.
This afternoon we have been invited to watch DGD in her Autumn Fayre concert. So the hall will look like a Worzel Gummidge reunion because there will be about 60 scarecrows on stage, singing and dancing. Must remember to take some money as there is a raffle and some items on sale that DGD has made. It seems that the school wants money for something every week, no wonder people have to work.
Anyway I suppose I should DO something, I could do with a push too ! I hope I don't get stuck in the doorway with Nelski.
Redruby could you please come by and extricate Nelski and myself from the doorway and take us to Tru's. I have some Te*ry's chocolate Oranges hidden away and if I leave them much longer they will have melted !
Enjoy Thursday everyone. Hugs all round.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Morning, an epic fail getting up ay 8am thanks to OH, he kept me awake until 3am, so it was 9.15 when I woke........good job there is nothing spoiling this morning.
I have the cleaner boss coming tonight to see about my cleaning, I ak also waiting to hear from another company before I decide which one to go with.
The house is reasonably tidy, I made OH clear a lot of his clutter yesterday.
Dull morning, was going to put a coloured wash on but the forecast is not good, so it can wait till tomorrow now. Will put the washer on the timer so its ready to go out when I get up in the morning.
I have been looking at changing the settee, the one we have is an Ikea bed settee and it weighs a ton, very difficult to move, the sitting room is a mishmash of colours, want to try and unify it a bit. I did wonder about getting OH's rise and recliner chair recovered, £750!! We could buy a new one for that, so its out of the question. I would use throws on it but he is such a wriggle a**e, I would spend all my time straightening them up. Arrghhhhhh..........
We have to have supper early tonight, chicken, pasta and garlic bread, so need to get on and cook the chicken, it will just need heating through whilst the garlic bread cooks later.
Jackie O sorry the news about Frank was not so good.........((((((((Hugs)))))) for his family.
Right off to get going.0 -
I did a load of washing last night but it is raining heavily so might need to resort to the tumble drier.
Youngest dd is due around one o'clock so will do a quick dash round with the hoover, tidy up downstairs and quick clean of the bathroom.
A friend of hers is coming over this afternoon so I want to have the house respectable for them. I really miss the cleaner this week as it is half term.
JackieO
I am sorry about your brother and hope things go as well as possible under the circumstances.

Good morning all, had my DGD here last night in floods of tears about her other grandpa Frank, her Dad told her about his outcome and I think she was hoping it would not have been such dreadful news.
The hospital managed to get him off the ventilator, but he is still in intensive care and its probably not be very long as its seems he is riddled with it. At least he is comfortable and stable at the moment ,but its doubtful that he will come home.
My DD and son-in-law managed last night to get their flights changed and are flying home this morning from New York.
Well done to B.A. and they have even changed it for free, although my son-in-law was willing to pay anything just to get home to see his Dad whilst he can.
Its been a mad gallop this morning as I had to take one of my DGS to the dentist this morning for a check up and tomorrow morning I will be taking another one for a filling then back to DDs house to take her into the hospital as she has her foot op tomorrow. I will stay with her and as its day surgery she will hopefully be back at home tomorrow night. I think I shall meet myself coming back this week.
The weather has been damp and mizzlely this morning and even the dogs seem to be out of sorts.
DGS Danny is trying to get a flight home as well today to see his Granddad, I persuaded my DGD Holly that getting upset won't alter things and she must keep busy, so today she is changing all the beds indoors and making sure the house is tidy and hoovered, and an empty ironing basket for Dd so she won't have to do anything when they get back and can go straight to the hospital to see him.
She does tend to get upset easily, and giving her something to do seems to be the best way a sort of distraction therapy. Luckily she has her b/f looking after her as well.
Right time I got a wriggle on and sorted out lunch for the three boys that I have to look after today, bless them they are good lads and no trouble.
Take care chums and keep warm and dry if possible
