I’m not inclined to explain my situation in detail, but it wasn’t possible for the insurance company to fly me home.
But you'd have been OK with a 300 mile car journey then? You realise a lot of Western Europe is within 300 miles of the UK and you don't need to fly to get there, right?

Your vague anecdote doesn't make the point you want it to.

No, if I wanted to tell you I’d have posted a link like I usually do.
Find it yourself seeing as you asked.
So it doesn't make the point you're trying desperately to make then :rotfl:

Hmm.. but getting someone to fly then drive to pick me up would be somewhat convoluted no?
I prefer to pay for insurance-I don’t expect family to take time from work for such a time wasting exercise.
    Though they offered .
Was put up in a good hotel until I recovers sufficiently ...
    No contest really.

Err....yes, that's why I said "you don't need to fly to get there"!

It was you who suggested the 300 mile UK pickup! I was just saying you could do the same if in Western Europe!

Never mind, you've been whooshed again. I won't embarrass you further by replying to any more of your posts, ta ta.

Which could happen if you were 300 miles away from home in the UK.

I’ll think you’ll find this was you.

Ahem, it’s me that chose not to embarrass you by posting that link you never posted.

When people accuse others of “ embarrassing”themselves it rather smacks of sour grapes ..
