Looks pretty good to me :) Depends on what sort of things you enjoy.
Personally I'd have done one day less in SF. Santa Monica was ok for a walk on the beach and pier, and I'd do that on the last day (assuming an evening flight from LAX) but I'd prefer an extra day each in Yosemite, Monterey and San Diego and would have skipped the nights in Santa Monica, but it's horses for courses :)

What time of year are you going?

I'm with you jackieblack, one day in Yosemite is only scratching the surface and San Diego is worth more than just one day too. (Seaworld, the Zoo & USS Midway are all worth seeing!)
Bear in mind you'll not have much time in places on travelling days although a stop for an hour might be enough in some of the seaside places you've mentioned.

I take onboard what you are saying.

    The issues are this though:

We fly into san francisco, arriving at 18:50 and 16 days later we have to depart LA.

Some must does are yosemite, san francisco, as stated this is my other halfs first visit therefore she wants to do all the cliched tourist bits, disney for the day and san diego. Im trying to plan it so we avoid yosemite at weekends and avoiding fri/sat/sun in disney

Oh, I know - so much to do and see and only a limited amount of time...

I've always made a list, split it into 'non-negotiable/must do', 'would really like to if at all possible' and 'would be nice if there's time, but not the end of the world if there's not' columns and worked out my itinerary from there.

Oh to have unlimited time and an unlimited budget to match...

well ive had a re-jig to make for a day less in san francisco a day more in yosemite and moterey, dropping anaheim, instead stay in LA and commute to disney and made an extra day in san diego due to dropping santa monica.

now im just trying to find some reasonable accommodation in san francisco and yosemite, anything half decent is costing us more than our flights at the mo

Excellent idea to give Yosemite more time. So many people come back from a holiday like this and wish they'd done that. But of course it's all personal opinion in the end.

We stayed here https://www.homeaway.co.uk/p115073vb - within sight of El Capitan, 15 minutes by car from the valley & very peaceful! Just be sure to buy your provisions before you go into the park, although the Half Dome (curry) Village pizza patio is great (and does takeaway!!)
There are several other cabins to let in Foresta, its a lovely spot!

We stayed in camp curry in Yosemite and for San Fran we booked our hotel through Hotwire, so much cheaper, we got the holiday inn fishermans wharf, it was really nice.
