Daughter jealous of brother

Pre emptive strikes? Wills? Are you seriously suggesting that she's upset about a baby because of a will?
I actually thought when I read the title that you were going to be talking about a couple of young kids, not young adults.
She could have been in a state about anything.
Why don't people want to be identified by their other account. Who on earth is going to recognise you from your posts.
Not everyone cares about wills and how much they might get when a relative dies.
Maybe some people see their parents as a source of income. I certainly don't.
Distasteful really.
I think your mixing up the posts.
moneyistooshorttomention mentions their story of their brother having children and asking their mother change her will to get more for himself.
The OP has not mentioned wills at all.0 -
I do feel for your daughter if she's flogging herself and seeming to get nowhere. She's sees her brother has having it all and perhaps she's forgotten his efforts to achieve it.
How much younger is she?
You can only support and encourage her, OP.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Don't underestimate the pressure on young women to have perfect lives ie a career, man, stylish house and of course a baby by 30. It can be very self destructive comparing yourself to others all the time.
Being stuck in a rubbish job where you think your boss dislikes you is relentlessly miserable; focus your energy in helping her get another position. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
My eldest is similar.
She works really really hard in the arts for a pittance and no security but she does what she does best, well.
Her younger siblings earn far far more and she sometimes resents the fact that they have it easy.
The truth is they also worked hard to get where they are and had the bonus of stronger personality and lucky breaks on their side.
I try hard to make her feel valued for what she does but the older she gets the harder it becomes.Norn Iron Club member 4730
