    then why are these scores so important?
    I'm confused....

    Gary,
    The only things that are on my file are;
    my ex,
    My credit card, which I pay in full each month,
    British gas for my electric and gas,
    And my mobile phone provider.

    No late payments.
    No CCJ.
    No defaults.

    How can I find out about these bank criteria?

    You won't find out since they don't disclose it

    They're not important - no one here is saying they are

    Does your ex have a good credit history? If not, his credit history will bring yours down.

    If you are no longer together, why is he/she still on your files? Do you have any joint accounts together?

    Is your mortgage not on your files?

    Your bank account?

    Are you on the electoral roll - is this showing as well?

  • I've just checked my credit file, there are problems;
    My credit file says I have £230 on my credit card. That's not my balance of my credit card. Also it looks like I've never paid the credit off. I have, it gets paid on the middle of the month. Yes I pay the FULL balance.
    My bank account is 0, it's not.
    I'm linked to my ex, seven times. As far I I know I only had 2 accounts linked with him. ( the mortgage of my old house, and a shared account)
  • My credit file says I have £230 on my credit card. That's not my balance of my credit card - It depends when the CC companies report back to the CRA's about you, thus there being a difference in your balance

    My bank account is 0, it's not. - Your day to day balance is not listed here - only if you are in any sort of overdraft will this list an amount

  • I can't see anywhere that says they are closed.
  • The mortgage I had with him is not there.

    Who did you get the report from as there are 3 agencies in the mix and not everyone whether its banks, lenders, credit card co's etc report to all 3 lenders, some will report to 1 or 2, the 1 used alot is Experian.

    Check your files with the other 2 agencies.
  • The one I used is the Martin Lewis credit report, Experian.
