Is the whole point of Being single in belfast is to go to the different clubs and try to find other like minded people!
Not try to find them on here, other wise here is a suggestion, facebook or bebo! or even dating agency!!!!:T0 -
I have never met anyone worth remembering, in a club. My experience is that a woman who is clubbing and 'on the pull' almost always is up for a quickie and will be off in no time. Probably good though because they tend to be intellectually inept and the type for whom you would love a 'mute' button. The ones who are worthy of your time rarely are interested in meeting men, they are there to dance and have fun with their friends, not strangers.
Online is a waste of time too. If you refuse to talk to people, if you ignore them without any apology or come across like some sort of dimwitted drunkard - why are you so mystified that you cant find the right person?! If you weren't such a !!!!!, you wouldnt have such problems!
A better situation is quieter company with a bunch of friends where new people rotate in and out. At least you can rely that the odd new person is sufficiently suitable that one of your friends gets along with them!2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.0 -
Anymore new members very quiet on here!!!!!!!!0

Whilst I agree with the sentiments that one should not judge a book by its cover I personally am a little picky when it comes to females.
I would not go with one who swears excessively or has tattoos, I find these two attributes a real turn off.
Tattoos are a matter of personal taste but having tattoos doesn't mean you are a bad person or are rough. The excessive swearing I agree with. It's not an attracive trait in either of the sexes. (Even though i've been know to let rip if I really lose my temper)which thankfully isn't often.
I think some people are confusing being a rough diamond with just being rough. A rough diamond is someone with underlying good qualities that might not be noticed on first inspection. That doesn't mean they look rough in how they dress or are heavily tattooed or whatever
I would be the first to say that nobody should lower their standards in order to find a partner but while being picky is good being overly picky isn't.
I have friends (male and female) who have a list as long as their arm of what they are looking for in a partner. Some of them are so superficial its laughable. These are the same people who cry their eyes out on the phone to me complaining how lonely they are and how they'll never find love.
As I said before my OH was not physically my "type" when we first met. Had I stuck to my usual mental checklist of what I was looking for in a partner i'd have have refused his offer of a date and missed out on a truly wonderful man.How does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?0 -
I think there should be a thread devoted to NI, MSE members who are single and perhaps interested in meeting other singletons via this site, I intend that this thread be used for these purposes.
Obviously everyone should be careful when passing contact information etc and this should only be done via emails and PM's.
Is there an appetite here for such a thread amongst our NI members?0
